HIGHLY recommend this “secret” Italian spot we just discovered while down at the beach! It may be a bit of a drive from where we were, but so well worth it. Has a beautiful edible garden surrounding you at a nice outdoor table. Food is phenomenal- authentic housemade, couldn’t of had a better Italian meal!

This was a great find. The server was able to accommodate us without having a reservation. They went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our time there. The food was really good and the portions are big. Their pistachio Gelato was one of the best I’ve had. I’m definitely going back!

Finally getting around to writing this review after another great experience tonight. What wonderful food and service at the bar. Mike the bartender is top notch and keeps everything running smooth. Every appetizer or main we order is just awesome. Try the 1880 Manhattan which uses cinnamon infused bourbon. Nothing like it anywhere.

Always a great meal here. The bartender does a great job, cocktails were prompt and as ordered. Three of us had the scallops, one the rigatoni. All were excellent. Apps of stuffed zucchini flowers and burrata were also delicious. Carolina, the Manager, served us, with excellent support from the other staff. Refreshing to get such good service these days.

Celebrating my birthday with my sisters, Carol and Mary. The Veal Chop Parm was delicious. It was huge. Still, I met the challenge. No doggie bag for this 67 years young man. The service was very good. Must go again.

We would give this restaurant, its’ owners and staff 10 stars if we could. My husband and I were taking a short trip in this time of Covid to celebrate our upcoming 30th wedding anniversary. We were staying at a nearby hotel and picked Piccola Italia almost entirely by chance, although I had seen one line under a photo of the owners that this had been voted “best family run restaurant in NJ”.

This restaurant is Monmouth County’s hidden gem. The chef is so creatively talented. And the staff is knowledgeable from the fine wines to the amazing food. I have been coming here for years and one thing remains, consistency. Food is always delicious, and the staff always a pleasure.
