I love Italian food and am always looking for the best Italian around, and this restaurant is the best I’ve had in so long! Pino, the owner and chef, is amazing. He is the best host and an amazing chef. I had such a great time here, and can not wait to come back! We all absolutely cleared out plates

Truly such a hidden gem! I was told to check out Boston’s little Italy and this was close to the wharf but down a sweet little street. The house wine was very good and the house special of cod with lemon and capers was truly amazing. I’m kicking my plate. Good job!

Pino, So good to see you and eat your food again. The shrimp Fra Diavolo was just what I needed. Thanks for making us feel special last night. You are still my father’s favorite restaurant in the North End. A presto!

This was an excellent low-key, but high quality Italian Restaurant. I ordered the Vitello Parimigana, which was delicious veal parm with pasta. I also ordered a great side salad. For desert, I would totally recommend the house-made tiramisu, which tasted incredible. Everything at this restaurant was delicious. I also really enjoyed the Italian atmosphere, with great Italian music playing. The staff was also very friendly and made great conversation. Everything about this restaurant was very pleasant. I 100% recommend dining here.

This restaurant certainly lives up to all the great reviews. Pino is such a welcoming host, and the food is just like we had while traveling in Italy. As someone who is extremely sound sensitive, I especially appreciate the acoustics. Every time we’ve dined here there has been music playing, people talking (even large groups), and yet we could still converse easily and enjoy our meal. Piccolo Nido certainly has some magic going on in that regard.

Do I dare tell you it is delicious? One of my favourite restaurants in the North End. A cozy, homey atmosphere with excellent service. Pino will make a custom dish to suit your dietary needs. He has gluten-free pasta and can serve vegetarians too. Off the beaten path – dine here away from the tourists and the feeding frenzy for a relaxing meal with the classic flavors for many regions of Italy.

Amazing place. Traditional Italian North End establishment with the most accommodating owner you have ever met. The food is amazing and made with love…felt like family! Move off Hanover St. And go deeper into the North End for gems like this. You won’t be sorry! Sorry about the photo after we ate…we couldn’t wait!

My boyfriend and I planned on coming here for our first trip to Boston. After seeing so many wonderful reviews online, as well as the lowered prices on their website when doing research, it was easy for me to decide which restaurant was a good pick.

The service is fine and the owner is a hoot if you get him going. Best of all is the stuffed veal chop which was the most tender I’ve ever eaten. It’s an out of way location so the traffic is never a problem. Definitely worth trying. If you get the chop get a side of pasta.
