This is a neat place. The kids love all the quirkiness about it. Very laid back and a decent menu of some interesting burgers. We ate in and the wait staff were friendly. Our food didn’t take long and it came hot. There are games and toys and things you can play with or occupy the kids with while you wait. We ordered different types of burgers, fried pickles, and fries. Everything was delicious and I liked that the beef patty was a fresh beef patty they pressed themselves but there is just one little tiny thing that kept me from hitting that 5 star. The burger patty itself seemed a tad bland? I don’t know if they season the beef or not but it didn’t taste like it. I of course don’t want to tell someone how to cook but … I think I’d season the beef somewhat with at least a little salt and pepper to bring out the beef flavor a bit more. Otherwise, everything was nice.

Great little diner in Dillsburg PA. Had the Dillsburger, 4oz. I would recommend the 8 Oz and could use a little more dressing. Great flavor in the meat and really friendly service. Highly recommend.

Somehow I’ve lived in Dillsburg and have never made it to the Pickle Nickel until yesterday! It was delicious and I can’t believe I didn’t visit sooner. The french fries were especially good. I got the bacon cheddar ranch fries along with my burger and after writing this review, I want to go get more.

I was traveling and this place had decent reviews. We pulled in and there was nobody else there but employees but we decided to give them a chance.

Worst experience ever. Ordered a taco salad and all it was is lettuce, very little cheese and a hamburger on top with no taco seasoning at all. The salads were 9.75 and we order some extra sour cream and salsa. No free refills on drinks and they dnt tell u that. Needless to say our bill was over 30.00, hate to see what they charged for the extra sour cream and salso. Never will go back there.

We were coming home from traveling and wanted a quiet place to grab a bite to eat. The Pickle Nickel is unique and the service and food were excellent. Will definitely take family and friends there to eat.

Bacon luvah Burger was great, with a milk shake made with ice cream from a local creamery. Burger was from the local butcher.

If I could give this place more stars I would. The food is simple and tasty. Lots of creative sandwiches and burgers, but also few veggie and seafood options. Fried Pickles are a must, so is Nikki’s Laua Burger. Now the bonuses comes in a form of the friendly service and if you have kids, their special is a must. Tokens, what tokens? Was our reaction. And low and behold there is a small arcade tucked away in back. Not only you child will be entertained, but also will leave with a small prise. Win win win. Last but not least. The owner, Kelly, thoughtfully offered us additional coffee refill to-go. The Pickle Nickel is likely will be our “apres ski” destination when skiing in Roundtop.
