2022-October Update: Food and service was excellent. Much less greasy than last time. Ruben and fries were delicious. Only issue, that I thought was a temporary problem and didn’t mention on my last review because I thought it was a timing issue, is the background sewer smell. It was still there today. This will surly turn people away if it is not addressed. Of not we didn’t get a beloved fried okra on the plate like we used to.

This is what $17 gets you at pickled okra. I have given this place several chances and it always disappoints. I placed an order for pickup, they got the order wrong, called to let them know, they were rude about the matter. Drove back up there to get the right order, no apologies or anything. The quality of food there is not good, especially for the price they charge and the minuscule amount they give you. If you are looking to get a bite for lunch, do yourself a favor and save your money by going to McDonald’s

I gave 5 stars bc there was nothing wrong here. I had southwest egg rolls -so good. Service excellent. Food was hot. Hubby had fried okra not pickled ha, was good. I didn’t like the french fries but he did. They are like “airy” inside. But he liked them so oh well. Price was decent for sandwiches etc.

The fish and chips… the fish was like frozen fish you can get at supermarket. Not bad. Not Special. The fried okra was good. I prefer a cornmeal batter on okra, but this was good for breaded. My friend had a turkey avocado wrap and said it was excellent. Staff super friendly.

I eat here usually at least 1 time a week. I have tried almost everything. It is all delicious and the owner is so friendly. They will make you just about anything that you can think of as long as they have the ingredients. I love this place.
