Bright, clean with longevity in roots and old school charm, rooted equally in traditional but up to date favorites, family owed familiarity centered in local community. Consistent well prepared food by experienced hands. Price is fair for elevated quality. Presently inflation has caused this to be disproportionate, so hope the costs come back down soon. Worth patronage.

I’ve been eating sandwiches from Pickles & Chips since day 1, they are my family’s go to sandwich for tailgating in tubby raymond stadium parking lot at the University of Delaware football games, everything on their menu is so good for a pick me up snack; the quality is just there in the sandwiches itself! 10/10 for life

This is really a place you should get to go because the inside is small and more of a counter deli. The food is amazing and the prices are great. I love the italian and the ham and cheese but you really can’t go wrong with any of their yummy sandwiches.

I’ve been in delaware over 20 years. Grew up eating pickles & chips so it grieves me to leave this review but I do so in shallow hopes that the owner will somehow see this review and change things so I can take this down. The other day my son and I went in and ordered 2 cheese steaks. His only cheese. Mine with ketchup & pickles. First of all the owner was handling the money then touching and cutting open the rolls. Then the rolls go to a dirty counter. Then the guy cooking the steaks was ugly as sin, had long hair, facial hair, and wasn’t frequently washing his hands or wearing gloves per sandwich he made. Then he peeled the cheese with his finger nails, then scooped the pickles with his fingers to assemble the sandwich. Look, I don’t want to hear about covid, when you have food establishments not wearing masks standing over food, not wearing hairnets, or gloves. They need to change out gloves for every sandwich they make. Goes for all food restaurants. Sorry to pickles & chips, but I won’t be coming back.

I really went just to support a local business and get an egg sandwich but then I saw the pepster on the menu board. The pepster is very tasty but it is not a $12 cheesesteak. At $12 it needs to be bigger and/or have the very tasty sauce mixed with the meat better. Or a nice sesame seed roll. Or at least a pickle and chips. Watch the video, dry meat on top, tasty sauce on the bottom, for $12 you should mix them together for me and give me a nice seeded roll. It was tasty so it was a Good Cheesesteak experience.

They have great sandwiches but it is impossible to order ahead of time. The owner takes the phone off the hook. We had a conversation about it. He said that they are only 3 people and so he takes the phone off the hook. They were not busy when I was there. I was frustrated because I do like to call ahead so I don’t have to wait when they are busy. Covid is still around. He laughed at me so he loss a customer today.
