We were running an errand in Arlington and ended up in this place for dinner. I’m jealous this isn’t a bit closer to my place otherwise I’ll become a regular for sure! The Fried Goat Salad was the highlight, the cheese was perfectly fried, strawberries were fresh, the salad had the right amount of dressing (some places simply put too much) and what you see in the picture is just half the portion (we split one with my wife)! The brick oven Pizza had a great flavor (we had Chicken and Artichoke), and service was quick and friendly. There was a bit of a wait to get a table, but that only tells to how busy it gets and it is worth the wait. Only advise to the owner is to rearrange the tables a bit. There was some lost space and some tables were used to pile up pizza boxes (this makes it look a bit disorganized).

We visited Pie-Tanza for the first time on an early Saturday evening. Like many reviews, we found the service friendly and quick, which is great for families with young kids. The side order of fries was perfect while we waited for pizza and pasta to arrive. The Sangria was fruity and not too sweet. I like that orders are big enough to share or to have lunch the next day. The spicy sausage pasta does have a small amount of heat, and the pizza topings are fresh. While I didn’t ask to confirm, it looks like a lot of local kids work here, and that is nice to see.

Ordered online the pepperoni pizza and chicken spinach artichoke pizza. Easy to order online and pick up in the back on time without issue. Good flavors but the crust didn’t do it for me and I know it’s Neapolitan style. The crust was crispy not what I anticipated from eating other Naples style pizzas, including in Naples. Maybe it was because I did take out vs eating in.

Good calzones and pizza but service was a bit inattentive. Loved the crispy bruschetta and was excited to see spumoni as an ice cream flavor but $5 got me a smaller-than-expected scoop and it was oddly grainy; maybe not that many folks go for spumoni and it had been in the freezer too long?

Their catering service (and food) is amazing! I hosted a dinner party for 10 adults with a few food allergies/restrictions. Ed walked me through good options, meticulously checked the recipes for ingredients that could be an issue, and provided alternate solutions (ie- serving part of the dish on the side, single serve portion with a different protein, etc). On the day of pickup, I got there early because I was rushing and it wasn’t ready because they were prepping it to be hot and fresh exactly for the time we agreed to. Karen, who was working the catering items on the day of the event, was incredibly helpful. She realized my panic, got the items ready for me, and even got me some bags of ice and walked me to my car with the items. The service cannot be beat! I cannot recommend their team highly enough!

Pie Tanza is phenomenal! I recently discovered this place when looking for a good calzone. The consistent high quality calzones that I get from this place are far and away the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been branching out and trying other things on their menu – all of which have been fantastic. The servers are professional, polite, and quick. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting. Pie Tanza absolutely deserves 5 stars.
