Empanadas were super good. Tried chicken pot pie, picadillo, artichoke dip, and veggie were all great. Spicy chimichurri (was spicy good), chili lemon aioli, and pepita sauces were also good tries. The mini apple pie was so good, make sure to get one pre person! The molten pie was good. Icing matched both sweet pies. No service, just order and sit outside.

We found this during a scenic drive from the grand canyon back to Phoenix. Absolutely loved it. The workers were so helpful and friendly and made the experience so much better. The actual restaurant is tiny. It’s more of a good truck than a restaurant but there was plenty of space to eat outside. We tried the two most popular pies: mountain man and chicken pot pie. Loved both and the dipping sauce they recommended for the mountain man raised it to the next level.

We got the Mountain Man, Mountain Mama, Buffalo Chicken, and Picadilla beef. They were absolutely amazing. We had also gotten a molten chocolate and and a Panda which is Oreos and cream for the road, however we accidentally threw them away with our trash lol!! Guess that just means we will have to make another trip.

We tried this place when we stayed in Strawberry for a weekend and again during a day trip we took to Pine. It is a must try if you’re in the area! The staff is very kind and helpful with tips on which empanadas to try. The food itself is beyond delicious. We tried many different ones and loved them all (especially the dessert ones), we ordered extras to take home and enjoy later.

This place is always good! There’s a variety of empanadas, I swear there’s one for everybody. They also have a bunch of different drinks, and the staff is always friendly and nice to me, I swear they are always smiling. It’s a nice comfortable atmosphere, lots of outdoor seating. They do sell out of things during the morning rush and afternoon so make sure to get there early and get what you want. They’re also good to reheat. We got enough food to feed three adults a meal and dessert at every meal, and it lasted for 2 1/2 days.

Awesome empanada stop in Pine Az. I knew it would be good when I saw road workers lined up to get breakfast empanadas. I came by for lunch and was not disappointed. Not a big meat eater so I went with the Vegie Gallumaufry which was loaded with spinach and other vegies. Slivered almonds gave it some nice crunch. I added a side of creamy green chili and Pepita dipping sauce. Great vibe, good music piped in, nice outdoor dining areas. Fun and unique breakfast or lunch spot when you are craving something different and delish.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and boy were they busy. The line stretched out the door, but that’s not a surprise with the reputation this place has. The parking lot was full so we parked up the street and walked down. It was about a 30 minute wait but the weather was beautiful and it was so cool to see how they make the empanadas while we waited.

Perfect place to stop on your way through Strawberry or while staying in town! Every pie we tried was delicious, they had an incredible drink selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, the customer service was absolutely wonderful, and the outdoor seating was beautiful. My girls loved the hula-hoops and little play area on the patio and we were able to sit and relax for quite awhile. A definite must try!
