I celebrated my birthday here based on a recommendation from a friend. I’m so glad he recommended Pier450. My friends traveled from Annapolis and Silver Spring and they enjoyed the experience in it’s entirety. We booked a couple of rooms and they were quaint and comfortable. The decor is retro and fun. The dining experience was amazing. The chef is very creative and the presentation is beautiful. Did I mention the food is fresh and full of flavor. There are so many options to choose from on the menu. We had cocktails as well and yes they make a great Negroni. My friends travel all over the world frequenting Michelin star restaurants and they thanked me for choosing Pier450. I feel the prices for the food quality are very reasonable. They have gardens so everything seems very fresh. The service was great, our waiter was friendly and attentive. Finally, the evening ended with a view of a beautiful sunset from the pier. There’s also a cute little bar outside. Pier450 is a gem in Southern Maryland!

This is a great place hidden at the end of St. Marys county. The food was delicious and the views breathtaking. For the people who are not local, it is very common for this area close to the beach to have flies if the wind blows from the north and mosquitos at night time. But the owners are really conscious about this and have mosquito repellent for you to use if you plan to eat outside. Overall at great experience!

They fit us in despite no reservation. Food was pricey, but not more than I was expecting from an off the beaten path seafood restaurant. Staff was amazing. Prompt, informative, accommodating. Nate took care of us at the bar. Mixed drinks he makes are out of this world!!! Location is beautiful. Unique experience offered, having a bonfire in the sand just feet from the water.

I went for a drink, no food. The beer was cold, so a win! Service was great! But the view! Wow! Such a great location. The little sand beach with Adirondack chairs and fire pits are a win! A big pier with great water views. Next time I am here, I’ll try the food!

There are quite a few average and (frankly) negative reviews, so let me first address my apprehension against what I read in other reviews. Seating. We did have a brunch reservation and requested to sit outside, which was honored without question. There were eventually two servers helping five tables outside before we left. My server (helping three tables) did not mention the specials and did not seem to know the food or cocktail menu. The other server didn’t have a problem. So – if you’re interested in the specials, ask. My husband had the crab cake sandwich, I had the tarragon chicken salad sandwich. Both phenomenal and flavorful. I can’t speak to service after we were seated because due to a schedule SNAFU my husband got called into work right when our cocktails were delivered. This was fortune in disguise as our server put the wrong food order in for me, so we asked for the bill before the food came and were able to get that corrected. Oh, and they make their own ranch dressing…few places do that these days and it was delicious!

So worth the drive! The food was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere is beautiful. We both got the specials for our meal and topped it off with a blueberry lavender creme brulee and the pie the was key lime but not key lime ( I don’t remember but it was GOOD) and the cocktails were so tasty. I had a watermelon jalapeño margarita that had just a hint of spice.

Great food and service. Lovely view of the river. The crab soup has large lumps of crab meat!!! I especially love the rat pack vibe. I also recommend the “French 450”– their savory version of the French 75.

A gem in southern Maryland! Creative cocktails and delicious food. We had a bourbon-based Humble Opinion and gin-based Aviation cocktails—delicious! The coconut shrimp appetizer was wonderful and the side salad was fresh and tasty. Rack of lamb and pork chop were truly delicious. The wine list was more extensive than expected with some great options. We opted for a Paso Robles cab that worked well with our mains. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I were staying at Swanendele Inn and Pier 450 was recommended. Our waitress was very nice, the food was great and the view was amazing. Cream of Crab Soup w/ corn was delicious.

I have heard about this place from a few other people and finally ate here for the first time and brought our friend from out of town with us. It was better than I expected (not that that’s a bad thing). Being that it’s a higher end restaurant in SOMD, I was a tad skeptical it would be worth the price or the service wouldn’t be all that great. But it really was one of the nicest dining experiences I’ve had down here! We ate outside and enjoyed the covered dining area with fans blowing a strong breeze to keep the heat down AND the bugs away. Service was prompt and professional from our waitress. The French 450 cocktail frickin amazing, LOVED the basil!!! I ordered the Poke bowl and that dish alone is worth the drive back down again real soon. Not just a lot of tuna, but the entire dish was absolutely delicious. I wish I’d take pictures of everything while we were there! We will be back! Please keep up the great experience, it was so nice to be able to go there.
