Literally the best food around. Worth every penny. The new menu is amazing. They offer about everything. The staff is great and they take pride in they’re food. Over all great experience every single time we go and usually we have a large table which they accommodate us perfectly.

The pork BBQ was finely shredded rather than pulled, so you don’t see the blackened bits quite so much. In my view, the blackened chunks are a feature, not a bug, in the process. This meat was quite moist, rather than dry, and as a native child, born and raised in Western KY, I prefer it dryer, but YMMV. it was served on a white hamburger bun, rather than buttered toast. Carolina style hot sauce came on the side, and it was fairly spicy. The meat portions were generous. So… On a scale of 1 to 5, I’d give it a 4, and the wife said a 3. We both felt it did not meet the standards of City Barbecue (a regional northern chain), which we believe sets a standard for BBQ up nawth. Nonetheless, this place has been open only a few weeks, so we’ll return soon to see if it changes. We had the deep-fried mushrooms, done in the usual southern Ohio style, and they were excellent and a nice portion. The side salads were finely shredded iceberg lettuce, garnished with small tomato chunks and some grated cheddar and ranch on the side. Again, portions were generous. We took the food out, in carryout bags, and ate in the parking lot, which was full at 6:30 pm, or so. The staff appeared to be all masked. Wife reports that all the tables in this modest-sized dining room were occupied, which was consistent with the parking lot.

This was our first visit and were greatly unimpressed. We waited over half an hour for the food. The drinks were flat. The food came and was disappointing. The hoagie did not have enough meat on it to even seen above the bread. The hamburger was cold and the pulled pork nachos tasted freezer burnt. We ended up paying $42.00. We left the food on the plate and now picking up a pizza.

Great little gem!! Would given 5 stars but they were out of brisket early. This restaurant will give Arch& Eddie’s a run for there money. Need a carrot cake or banna pudding. Will definitely come back.

I absolutely dont recommend you get the fries. They were a big pile of soggy mush. Homemade style but not in a good way. The smokehouse burger was actually not too bad, but not worth 13.99. The smokefry wings might have been good if there was meat on them because the Carolina gold sauce wasn’t too bad. Service was non existent and was more worried about negative gossiping. Might as well trade one in for some better fries and bigger wings considering there were so many waitresses doing nothing. A refill would of been nice.

I was there on the first weekend they opened so I’m sure they’ll work out some of the problems. But, on this visit it took over half an hour for our food to get to the table. When it did, mine was cold and another person at my table received a sandwich he was highly allergic to. The other people at my table would give a higher rating but based on this first trip I’m in no hurry to go again.

Well. I was very excited to try this place as it smelled amazing inside and out! However, i suppose we went on a bad day. The waiters were practically non existent. Leaving us waiting for our order to be taken while gossiping about each other in the back. Then leaving us parched as we waited for the food because, apparently, the ‘free refills’ were non existent as well.
