Great mom and pop restaurant. Small menu with a few specialties. My favorite is the Moose. Please try it we got the big one. Hash browns with Biscuits and Gravy on top with Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs on top of that. The gravy was delicious with large chunks of sausage in it and very creamy. The hash browns had chunks of bacon cooked in. Please give them a try when you’re close by. Seating is limited so be prepared for a possible wait though we were lucky and had none when we were there.

The location is hard to notice if no line outside. I went in early morning to avoid lines. It is a small space with lot of sittings. probably can be fit in 80-90 people in the same time. No waiting space inside, so if you see lines outside, the waiting may not be that long. The food is classic American breakfast, the portion is HUGE, taste is okay, my gravy was cold. Services are great, staff is very friendly. The kitchen service is incredibly organized, no modern ordering system, but everything goes smoothly, very clean, the staffs are so calm and efficient, pretty amazing to watch. Give a try if there is less than 3 groups waiting outside.

The Pinecrest Diner is a classic here in San Francisco. They offer really good quality food for good prices and with the classic diner flair attached. Both early breakfast and late dinner possible. Most of the time there is a line, but it’s worth the wait.
