Well I heard about this place months ago and decided to come look at the reviews since the review my friend gave me was not a good one. She did say the food took forever to come out but they kept her busy with drinks. Apparently the drinks are good bc she got pretty messed up while waiting for the food. The food finally came out and she said it was cold. I believe the person at the bar also fixes the food. Now, not sure how long they have been here but I’m willing to see things prosper, especially a black business. What I would like for the owner to do though is please work on the customer service not just in your place of business but also social media platforms. Not everyone is going to be pleased or like your food but to get in these reviews being nasty will definitely turn people away and run ppl wrong. Take your emotions out of the reviews and simply say thank you , we hope you would reconsider another visit and give us a chance to earn your business. Come on now, telling ppl something is wrong with their tastebuds etc is insane. Keep business coming back. Please work on that. Be professional smh. As a BOB customer service will get you so far. Anyway, I am going to come out and try and leave an honest review. Thanks

Went in pretty late with two friends — around midnight on a Friday night — and the food took a while to come out but it was fresh, flavorful, and some would argue worth the wait. Too many venues at late hours will just microwave some junk food for you and up charge you for something you could have gotten at the grocery store. The food here is priced fairly and tastes good. You may just have to wait a little while if you show up 2 hours before they close. Good things take time. I may come back next time in Dallas to try them out during the day. Would recommend checking this place out for some surprisingly good, home cooked meals. I ordered catfish nuggets, shrimp and grits, jambalaya rice, green beans, and mac and cheese. All was delicious.

Oxtails are the only thing that’s good. Greens out of the can. Instant potatoes also. Not even the good kind. Bland boring instant they could have added some butter and seasonings to dock up the sides, but no . The sides are disgusting. The whole plate was a waste of money. Will not be going back.

I only have 3stars for my first Time here I came in after 2am in the bar was closed with that being said I asked for some wings because I seen them was serving wings the owner came from the back and said we’re not serving drinks be my first time they should have made accommodation because one thing I do know I would have bought the bar only because they made great combination great customer service and those wings looked at so f****** good ohmygod but the customer service was horrible but I will be back before 2 a.m. so I can get a drink
