We tried this place on a Thursday evening in June. There was not host station so we sat ourselves. My wife returned from the restroom with a look of horror on her face saying, “No way am I using that restroom.”

Nice atmosphere. I recommend the pizza! Service is hit & miss. If there’s a major event in town, the line for the bathroom is long, and the service staff is usually slow but aims to please. On any other day, service is great, and the bathroom line is non-existent!

I am a local resident. I say that because tourists will come and go but Natchitoches residents are the bulk of the customers downtown and it just doesn’t sit well with me when we try and patronize the businesses we are treated less than professional. I use to love ordering from the Pub. My family and I absolutely love the Savanah Wraps. But for the past few weeks, we have tried several times to order take. Each time we call, we are told the kitchen is backed up and they’re not taking any take out orders. I understand some days of the week are more busier than others but every time I call it’s the same thing. Whenever they are “available” I will not be patronizing this entry again.

Stopped over in Natchitoches on our drive from Denver to New Orleans. So glad we discovered the Pioneer Pub! Great place to hang out with owners — Howard and Joan — and some of the regulars, while watching Thursday night football. We’ll be back!!

The Philly cheesesteak and Smokehouse pizza are pretty good. The fries are great. They only had two waitresses but our food still came out pretty fast for a party of five. Very impressed!

I USED to drive 2 hours pretty much every weekend to eat here! I was always bragging to people about “my favorite spot” Well… I got the opportunity to bring someone else that is from Texas. Huge Mistake! Sat down for over 20 minutes! No one even told us “Hello” The bartender that was Maybe 5 steps from our table was talking and laughing with people at the bar. I finally get up and ask her, “Ma’am, where should we order?” She looks at me like I am absolutely stupid. “Someone will come” then… She looks back at the bar guest, flips her hair very sassy and says, “So anyways….” WOW. Eventually got a waitress (BTW they were NOT busy)
