Decent enough burger and fries but definitely not worth the premium burger price. I got a cheeseburger, fries and a drink and it set me back over $12. For that money I can get a top-shelf burger (and maybe even a beer) at any number of restaurants and bars around town.

After all the time driving by the place seeing signs say it’s open, but it not really being open, finally getting into it when it was open was a let down. Downtown Parkville has sooooo much potential, but insists on shutting down at 8, even on fri/sat nights. Having a new place that looked like it would be great to get a beer and burger was needed. Unfortunately they are severely over priced. $9-12 for 1/4-1/2lb angus and tots/fries with no drink??? I don’t think so. My kid’s hot dog, fries smaller than McDonalds and drink was over $6! The sea theme decorations are great, but the atmosphere is just …. off. The 20% military discount is higher than the norm, but that’s because their prices are well above the value. Too bad.

Wanted to eat local, and try this new hamburger joint, and am so pleased I stopped in!! Ordered the Blackbeard (with no bun to keep it low carb), and they did an AMAZING job!! However, the tots were so delicious, the no carb thing went way out the window ! Highly recommend you stopping in and chatting with the manager, he’s there to make you happy and make your experience the best it can be!

This I a good place to stop in a get a quick bite to eat. Adult meals don’t come with a drink so that’s a down side. The adult meals range from $8-$12 plus the $1.99 drink. Kinda pricey for a quick bit if money iant on you mind. The do offer a 20% millitary/college discount when you show an ID. Would I come here again… Maybe.

the title of “best burger in the northland” does tend to get thrown around quite a lot, but for my money, it oughtta belong to the Davy Jones. all the burgers at Pirate Pete’s are excellent, but that one is superb.
