I found way way here based on enthusiastic reviews, and I have to say that they didn’t steer me wrong in the least. I ordered Oxtail with yams and cornbread, and it was all out of this world, especially the oxtail and rice!

If I could give them 10 stars I would…. That food was so DAMN GOOD!!!!!! Some of the best food I have had this YEAR!!!!! I had the fried pork chops with the Mac and cheese and yams!!!!!!! 10s across the BOARD!!!! Definitely going back there before I leave the area.

Just tried Pitt’s for the first time I have to say I’m highly impressed. The owner opened the door for me and I felt like I was at home. The food is fresh and made to order. Everything is so flavorful. I got fried chicken wings, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and candied yams. The price is very fair and the customer service is superb. Will recommend to friends and family.

Best damn soul food up north!!! It appears to be family owned with a good history in the community. Very clean little spot. Had chairs to sit and wait on your food. Food was fried in fresh oil (you could tell) and it was damn good! This was our first time and I promise we will make it back over the bridge very soon. If you’re ever in the need for real Southern style food go here. Plus they close at 8pm. It looked shabby but it was a warm and inviting feeling.
