I will be generous with giving 3 stars considering this is a new restaurant and want them to do well, but perhaps their staff does not yet understand the importance of making the customer happy. It was a HOT, humid day in San Marcos (91 degrees), and we were looking forward to escaping the heat at this new place we saw off the road….. sounded like a good idea to have an ice cold beer and pizza. Unfortunately, the pizza was decent and they have a great beer selection, BUT their AC was off. With a pizza oven open to the dining area, it would be nice to have the AC on so that the customers could enjoy their dining experience sweat free. We may try this place again, but if they’re not willing to sacrifice a little bump on their energy bill on a hot day to keep customers coming back to dine in, not sure how often we’ll be back. Pizza was pretty disappointing—bland, weird cheese texture, crust was soggy—soggy thin crust—sad to get soggy thin crust pizza. The bread sticks were all sorts of wrong. They were like bricks. I’ve never experienced breadsticks that weighed as much as a gold bouillon. Not sure if the recipe called for a flour and cement mixture? Sadly I had to discard the pizza and breadsticks after a few bites as they were that unappetizing. Major pass on this place.

Decent pizza, much better if you eat there than take it to go. Modern restaurant with a decent beer selection and some good food options other than pizza. I recommend the margarita pizza and the buratta salad.

Great atmosphere. Great selection of beer on tap. All of the employees were very nice and attentive. We decided to get a variety of pizza to try the different flavors. The pizza was just okay.

I usually grab a slice or 2 at least once a week. The pizza is good. My complaint is about one of the cashiers. All of the cashiers are friendly except one. He has helped me 3x and I always feel like I’m an inconvenience. I’m in customer service and I completely understand when you are having a bad day. I am overly polite to others in customer service. I let it go the first 2x but I think you need to know now that it’s the 3rd time. He never smiles, says “hello”, says “thank you”, or anything friendly. He seems miserable. I will come back but I probably will leave if I see him working the register.

Absolutely incredible new restaurant in San Marcos! Honestly the spot we have been waiting for. Great pizza, by the slice or made to order your way, incredible wings, amazing ambiance. Also their ranch and dressings are 10/10. Their bar menu and live game coverage also contribute to a wonderful experience. You need to come if you haven’t!! We can’t wait to come back.

Pesto mushroom and bbq chicken pizza. Not many places offer a mushroom pizza and Pizza Bar’s is so freaking good. The BBQ chicken is delish too. Definitely stop by if you are looking for some good pizza.
