“Best” is a word I rarely use with a category of food. I have to make an exception for Pizza Mamo. This was simply the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. We ordered the Garden Fresh. It took a while, maybe 25 minutes, to get our food, and it was worth every second of waiting. The server was friendly. Not the best dining in area – the stools weren’t comfortable and there’s not much space. I do wish they had a better drink selection. They still get five stars. It’s that good.

Had their version of the Detroit Pizza. It was a good pie but they need to go back to the drawing board on the crust. Way too breadlike. True Detroit is airy In the center with a crunch on the bottom. This one was too much like a piece of bread with a soft bottom. A good pie as I said but not Detroit. A couple tweaks could fix this for sure and I hope they do.

My first and last time going to this place. The Cashier/server was stoic. I did not feel welcome. The place looked nice but does not match the vibe. Pizza is mediocre. Dries up after 10 mins. It’s like eating crackers with toppings bought from safeway. I’d rather eat at dominos.

Sausage and pesto pizza. This was really good. Curious if a dollop or ricotta would have made it better. Aesthetically, it is as pleasing as it tasted. Apart for Chinatown being sketchy, the pizza is amazing.

Staff was super friendly and helpful when picking the right toppings. The interior space is small but hip. It was perfect for a casual lunch with friends. They also have outdoor seating in the back.

Okay, the pizza here is good and this is coming from a lover of pizza and having grown up in NY. This is my second time eating here and my pizza cravings were satisfied both times. When I was there I saw two styles of pizza; Chicago and your standard NY type slice. I like that they offer pizza by the slice!

Ordered the Detroit $23 and a slice of Pepperoni $3. The menu didn’t show the size of the Detroit, but figured the price difference between a single slice and a full pizza it would feed 4 people. The pizza itself was extremely goos, but the Detroit is closer to a single or two people serving size. The wait time seemed long considering only 2 people had to go orders besides us being there, but the wait was worth it for the taste. Unfortunately it was too long of a wait to order a second pizza that would have filled us all up. Just order more from the beginning.
