save your money on this place, its under new ownership. this dude Ed lol. Joe obviously isnt running it anymore. his pizza maker Bobby “cooks” your pizza at a high temp and barely leaves it in. theyre spending maybe 5 minutes *total* on each pizza and the result really reflects that. it’s basically pizza soup, and when you pick up a slice everything just slides off. youre met with a green/grey piece of raw dough with a soggy black bottom.

We typically never order a Sicilian pie but for some reason we were tempted to today. Having never ordered from here and after reading the rave reviews, we decided to place our order for a basic cheese Sicilian pizza. I walked in and found out from the gentleman at the counter that they had recently (<2 months ago) bought the place. Unfortunately that was apparent after we tasted the pizza. I would really like for this place to do well so while my rating is low, I would like them to consider some constructive criticism. The pizza I ordered had an overcooked crust and barely melted cheese. It seems they partially baked the crust and then added the sauce and cheese following a few more minutes in the oven. This ended up making for a very dry, hard crust and lukewarm cheese which had no stretch. I'm not sure if this was the original way but either the process or cook temp needs to change. I hope to try this again in the near future and see an improvement.

Nice heavy pizza with a lot of topping and cheese, very good dough as well. I was not a fan of the tomato sauce. Overall, it was just too mild, i.e. the kind of pizza I would need to add hot sauce or salt or something to it. Obviously they are not interested in optimizing service (most likely due to the owner trying to do everything himself rather than delegate some things, I mean the cashier didn’t even know the price of the pizza and the owner had to tell him…), but the experience is okay if you’re ready for it (cash only, need to call repeatedly during busy hours to get the line, you can’t pay in person until the pizza is done…)

Great place for take-out, authentic Italian pizza. They make their own pizza dough, which is very tasty and differentiates this place from other pizzerias. Another advantage is that the pizza was not very greasy and had the right amount of toppings. The chicken parm sub was delicious, too – even when reheated in a toaster oven the next day. Next time, I’ll try the steak and cheese or the Italian sub!

The best pizza in Watertown – and we’ve tried a lot of places! The owner is the sweetest and the Sicilian pan pizza is out of this world – perfectly cooked and the flavor is spot on. The steak bomb sub and meatballs are also delicious. So thrilled to have found a local pizza place with such great quality! Cash only but worth the trip to the ATM for sure.
