We have gone to this Pizza Shoppe location in the past and service was great, but not this evening. Worst service ever! Only 2 or 3 tables occupied with customers, which makes the lack of service unexplainable. We were told to seat ourselves and then we waited and waited before anyone came to our table to take our drink order. Finally ordered drinks, salads, and pizza. By the time the pizza arrived a couple drinks needed to be refilled. I had to go up to the counter and tell them that we needed a couple refills. Most of the pizza was eaten by now and still no one came over to the table to provide refills and by now 2 more needed refills. Service was lacking all around. I left a tip of 15%, which is more than they deserved, but had they provided proper service they would have received more. It will be awhile before I dine in, if even I go at all to this restaurant. Unsatisfied customer.

Pizza Shoppe used to be my favorite pizza place. I’ve gone a number of times to this location in the past year hoping to see improvements. A couple locations across the metro have closed. They’ve had the same sign up for over 18 months stating “we are under staffed and over worked”. I get it but they need to find a way to dramatically improve service and freshen the place up. Food is still top notch.

We ordered the lunch special. Thin crust pizza is the best and they do it well. Of course, a salad with a little pink stuff is really good once in a while. They were very short handed but did a great job getting things done right. We ordered online and then ate at the restaurant. That caused some confusion but they handled it very well. Always up for a stop at Pizza Shoppe.

GREASY PRICEY AND GROSS! What was once upon a time one of the best pizzas in the metro is now greasy and awful. This used to be a quality pizza place. This used to be our family’s favorite pizza spot. My wife grew up on this pizza. The last time we got this pizza it’s cheese was inferior low quality. It wasn’t the usual mozzarella we were used to. The pizza’s we ordered had one topping and were super greasy. Never had a greasy pizza from Pizza Shoppe until now. The pizza’s cheese is now using a cheaper inferior cheese. What happened to this place? I hate what they have become. One bad pie and we never want to return. We get the same pie every time. Avoid this place. There are way better pizzas in Kansas City. This is no longer one of them. It hurts me to say that. Never again.

Food is always good. The ONE server they had was so nice. It’s so terrible to make her be the ONLY one working the tables. They did warn our group that they were short staffed and we said no problem, and it wasn’t because we were there to visit but I know it would bother MOST people. I hope they can get workers we love pizza shoppe and want it to stay!

Never knew this place existed until recently, and wow is it some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. It’s a bit pricey, but the quality is worth it. Highly recommend the Roundtable. Can’t speak for the service inside, but as Carryout, it’s on my short list of reliable restaurants.
