The food is ok. Stopped in with my kids and ordered a 1/2 veggie 1/2 pepperoni pizza. It is a fire baked pizza that they make fresh or they have a number of pre-made pizzas that you can buy by the slice. I thought the pizza sauce was a little tomatoey for my taste. They give you a number and you can go sit at your table and they’ll bring it out to you. Service was really good and everyone was super nice. Unfortunately, when we got the pizza, when we took the veggie slice off, everything just slid off the slice. I thought the pizza was just a little undercooked. I like a nice crisp slice, and these were a little more doughy. They have a number of different items, and I would go back again and maybe try a different type, and I guess I could ask them to cook it a little longer. They have quite a few booths and a bar area. They do have some outdoor seating, and it’s right next to a little pond, which is quite honestly the coolest thing. While we were leaving, we saw a little family of otters running down the sidewalk. We ended up walking around the pond and watching them go in and out of the water it was pretty cool.

I love that we found this Italian gem! (We have to pass 7 other pizza places to get here) Walk past a fish filled pond to arrive at the outdoor patio or the immaculately clean dining room. Step inside to place your order which will be promptly brought to your table. We love that the staff are so friendly, take pride in their product and seem comfortable interacting with the patrons.

The night before I ordered a slice of spinach, a slice of basil, garlic knots and fettuccine add chicken and shrimp. I repeated my fettuccine order twice because the first time the person on the phone repeated my order and only said fettuccine and reiterated to add chicken and shrimp. I picked up my order and it was almost closing time. I went to my hotel room and took the food out of the bag and realized that there was no chicken and shrimp. The garlic bites were hard. My Fiancé tried to eat it but he couldn’t without the meat. I looked at my receipt and noticed that I was not charged. But my fiancé ended up going to bed unsatisfied. The pizza was delicious. I highly recommend the basil. I called the manager today and explained to him what happened. He replied it was probably a misunderstanding and he offered to remake the pasta. I picked up the pasta up and the chicken and shrimp was on it. He didn’t mention about charging me for the shrimp and chicken as I was not charged previously and I did not mention the garlic knots again. I think that was a good compromise for my time and gas to come back and for him to have a satisfied customer. I highly recommend this restaurant. I even ordered another slice of basil while I was there. The manager was really nice about the whole situation.

My family travels from coast to coast once or twice a year. We consider ourselves to be pizza conasuors. We stumbled into Pizzaro after leaving an event at the Richmond Convention Center and it was the best accidental encounter we’ve had in years. The food was great, the service was quick and the staff were wonder!!! Definitely returing when we are in the Richmond area.

Food was ok. I got two slices of cheese pizza for lunch and it was nothing special. The sauce was kind of sweet which threw me off, not the biggest fan of that. The restaurant wasn’t really inviting so I took the pizza to go. When I called in to order the pizza whoever answered the phone just said “go ahead” super quick so I wasn’t even sure I called the right place. Overall I don’t think I’d come back but it’s worth a try if you want pizza in the area and don’t want a chain (like mod or Marcos).

Last year while attending Rotary training we decided to venture out in search of pizza. We found Pizzaro. They were closing up for the night but Ben, the manager and chef took the time to make us a pizza. It was excellent and he was charming. We are back this year for Rotary training and rushed to make it to Pizzaro’s before closing. Ben was there! We also met Valerie. Great employees that are a real asset to Pizzaro. So from Columbia, SC to Glen Allen, VA for pizza! Yes, every time!

best pizza in the entire Richmond area. have been going here for years and they have found a way to have the best crust, sauce, and cheese of any pizza in the area. Highly recommend ordering a jumbo pizza with any toppings you like because it is not only delicious, but a fantastic value
