When we look at our journey, we see the beauty that is woven from the hard work, the persistence, and the passion that we use to operate our lives. It was a passion that led Federico Venturini and his wife, Viola, from Gualdo Tadino, Italy, to team up with an Arizona business owner of 30 years, Phil Igneri, and launch what we see today as, Pizzicata.

Authentic Italian family owned. We had the pizza – very good crust. Eggplant Parma – a bit cold but delish. Tortellini pasta with cream sauce and sausage – very good.The calamari with shrimp was fantastic. Wine selection was good too. Temperature was a bit warm. Open environment. Hopefully they use the A/C when it’s warmer out. We’ll return for another meal.

We always take our out of town friends to Pizzicata and it’s always delightful, delicious and so delectable. The atmosphere is very relaxing starting with the Hostess/Bartender, followed by our server, Mateo. Mateo’s energy is contagious and a treat to have met him before he gets relocated to the Chandler location. We usually like to sit outside but with the hot summer we decided to dine indoors, only to find out that they had just installed their AC unit… After 3 years of not having an AC!! Regardless, it’s a Fantastic place… Their pizza’s are very light and delicious, love that I don’t feel bloated after eating their pizza. I had the Ravioli Pastore, totally worth the calories !! Hurry to try them out if you haven’t done so yet!! Buen Provecho

Food was delicious. The gnocchi gorgonzola was creamy and heavenly. For pizza (pinsa) we tried the 4 formaggi, inferno, and viola…all had lots of flavor. Our only complaint is that it was sooo hot inside and judging by the waiter’s response this is normal to not have great AC. We truly would have hung around for more drinks and dessert had we not been sweating. We will return because it was yummy but will wait til late fall

First and foremost, the gnocchi and pizza at Pizzicata were simply delicious! The gnocchi were perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of pesto to give them a burst of flavor in every bite. The pizza was equally impressive, with a crispy crust and toppings that were fresh and flavorful.

The best pizza in Carefree, we have been there many times for it. We also have had other items from the menu such as sandwiches which are amazing and a few plates. Great antipasto and the calamari is great! We have never been disappointed by the food or the service. They have live music on the patio on some weekends. Over all just a great place to have some wood fired pie. My favorite is the Montebianco and margarita pizza and of course their cannolis.
