Ok, I’ve had the perch and have rated it here as 5 stars before. Tonight was a different story and I still rated Planks as 4 because the manager and the waitress stepped up to the plate (literally) and made everything right! The cook was new and instead of pan frying our perch, he broiled them. Well the seasonings for the pan fried don’t work well with the fish when broiled and our fish was “a little off” so to say. I doubt if this mistake will happen again! We were asked what we wanted instead, even though we both ate almost half our fish and all of our veggies. I asked for a single order of Mac and Cheese, they offered two, I said, no, one will be fine. I was charged with just the one order of Mac and Cheese and our drinks. Awesome way of being great hosts! What was really appreciated was the fact that the manager took the time to find out what happened and then explained to us, that’s not what you will normally find in most restaurants of this caliber. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone that enjoys a great meal, great service and enjoys being treated well.

Been there twice now. Failed to impress on both occasions. Brought my two young daughters there the first visit and was pushed to sit outside even though we asked to sit inside. Nothing but drunks on the deck dishing out profanity like it was going out of style. Not an issue except my daughters had to listen to all of it which is why I asked to be seated inside. Neither our waitress nor the manager seemed to be the least bit concerned after asking if we could move or if they could ask a few patrons in particular to tone it down a bit. Plus the food was lackluster that visit. Second visit was a take out order for some pizza. Was told 25 minutes, left my house which is a quarter mile away 25 minutes later, only to be told that it was going to be at least another 15 minutes and that I might as well have a drink while I wait(of course). So I ordered a beer only to be left at the bar for 15 minutes. There’s only 2 other people in the entire place aside from me the whole time. Waitress/bartender gossiped with her friend until my pizza was finally done. At least the pizza was decent…not worth the money though. Will NOT be giving this place a third chance. It’s a shame, such a nice location and building.

The service was terrible. We waited 45 min before we inquired about our food. The waitress told us that it had not yet been put in the oven (we ordered pizza). When we told her we were going to leave she replied “You’re going to pay for your food and leave??” Wow!
