From the view, to the atmosphere, to our waitress Faith, to the food… Planters is one of my absolute top 3 restaurants ever! I have eaten across the country at extended places . We’re soo fortunate to have an amazingly talented chef in our little southern nook. The house salad with 2 choices of dressings, also complimented the fries fried in duck fat. The duck wrapped in was more than divine, it was a mouth filled with flavorings consisting of sweet, smoked, crunchy, meaty to savory flavors bursting on your every palate .

This is a pretty cool place. The service is the star and the food follows. The last time I went August was my server and he was awesome and patient. Even in the heat. Lol. !!!!My only gripe is the service fee. You’re charged an additional fee for your food AFTER taxes when you pay with a card. Passing operational costs to customers is ridiculous. We shouldn’t have to pay ‘you’ to pay ‘you’. Particularly because the fee is tax deductible

Traveling through Monroe, we made a pit stop at Planter’s. The food, the service, the ambiance, everything was fantastic. The Nashville hot chicken was juicy, crispy and spicy hot, the homemade pickles were the perfect complement.
