Let me start by saying, I take pride in supporting small businesses and more pride in supporting minority businesses in every community. Today I wondered into this place by visiting a business next door and decided to try the Gumbo…. Worst decision EVER. The shrimp were extremely over cooked it was all sausage the chicken was tough, the sauce was watery and salty. When I tell you I threw the entire 17$ in the trash. People don’t realize thE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND WORD OF MOUTH. I’m severely disappointed in the gumbo. THE GUMBO WAS NOT FRESH, DAYS OLD IN FACT. It tasted stale. The owner brought it out to the door didn’t even value me as a customer enough to bring it to the sidewalk style table she had set up and hand it to me I had to get up and go to the door. Considering I partner with google to do reviews this is a heartbreaking review. It’s a NO for me absolutely NOT. In fact I would like a REFUND.

This food is amazinggggg. I’ve never went to a restaurant and ordered catfish just to get to my destination and it’s still extremely crispy. The yams are sweet but not overly sweet, the food was still smoking hot, the Mac has the cheese pull you want. The greens still have the perfect crunch with great flavor. this the one not the two! 10/10 highly recommended. Y’all better come and get y’all one of these! F*ck that chicken salad.

We had a very good experience at Plate Pleasures. We ordered the fried catfish entree and the smothered pork chop entree. Both were very tasty. I’m not a huge catfish fan, but the catfish here was so good. Will definitely be back to try their other offerings.

I love the food and the way the menu look. I’ve talk with her multiple times and she’s very nice and sweet and her service is actually amazing I didn’t think she would come to my car to give me the food which was a surprise. It is a bit pricey but other than that if your craving some soul food and don’t feel like cooking this is the place you go to

Googled soul food near me and was surprised when this popped up right by my house. I decided to go earlier and the food was amazing. I got my mom the Catfish and I got the fried pork chops. The guy at the counter was very welcoming and the ladies who called me to let me know it was ready were polite as well. I can’t front I almost didn’t come here when I read the reviews about them being rude, but honestly we all have bad days, so we shouldn’t hold then to a higher standard. My experience was very pleasant and they’ve definitely gained a new loyal customer. Side note the pound cake was phenomenal too..
