Wife had steak salad that was amazing! Fresh strawberries and blueberries along with carrots and mushrooms. You will not find something like this anywhere else in town. Best burger in the Illinois Valley! Burger patties are flavorful and with a crust right off food network.

I wish I had taken photos when I first opened my meal. But I just couldn’t wait to dig in! I ate the steak, couldn’t help it, but it was there and delicious! This salad is INCREDIBLE!! I couldn’t have made this at home for what I paid. Everything is fresh, crisp, sweet, crunchy, flavorful and she didn’t skimp AT ALL! Did I say fresh? I mean F R E S H !!!

And it’s only a few miles from starved rock state park so stop by on your way into or out of the park you will be happy you did.

I stopped in here after having received a recommendation for another nearby restaurant that was closed and boy am I glad it was. After being welcomed, we ordered our burgers and had a wonderful chat with the very fun folks working inside. The best part, however, we’re the delicious burgers that arrived. Perfectly cooked juicy burgers with delicious toppings alongside seasoned fries or tots made me wish I didn’t live so far away so I could return more readily. Whether you live nearby or are simply passing through, this is a must stop oasis for good people and even better food.
