This was our first time going there so first my daughter and I ordered 2 fruit and a smoothie to try. When we received our order. I asked my daughter to try. She loved it so i decided to order 2 more fruit bowls for my other 2 children. The service was fast. The fruit bowls and smoothie were delicious. I took pictures of only 3 bowls and half of the smoothie because my daughter was half way finished with her bowl when I thought about taking pictures.

I love this playa bowl location. The ambiance is so cool. The menu is layout is beautiful. The staff is helpful when you want certain fruits and the granola is the best ever. I got the dragon fruit pitaya bowl with banana strawberries granola drizzled with honey. Holy cow it was awesome. My daughter loves playa bowls. If she can eat it everyday she would. I am of that school of thought. My friend got a Goldie mango and they loved it.

Playa is an absolute OBSESSION! I can’t believe I went so long without trying this place. Went to the Newark College area one first with my little cousin and I have been hooked ever since. Now I visit this Watchung location DAILY. My top bowl would have to be the Banana based Olas bowl. Here’s a tip… Sub the blueberries for strawberries, sub the almond butter for Nutella and then get extra granola on the side. Never disappoints. If you’re a newbie, you’ll want to sign up for their reward program for points. I’m already two free bowls in myself.

I genuinely feel like the people that work there must be high or something, because they can never simply get my order right. I don’t understand how I literally just walked into the store, waited for my bowl, and by the time I get home my bowl is full of mush. I literally live two minutes away. The strawberries are always mushy, and so is their other fruit. When coming here make sure you repeat your order at least three times because they’re real incompetent.

This place is as consistent as a person with bipolar disorder. Bowls are sloppy, wait time is 25 minutes on average for each person. And nothing is prepared on time. Unfortunately Bonji Bowls Can not be replicated. Worst açaí place in the area
