Left here about an hour ago and I’m not the first and I won’t be the last to say it. Upon arriving I placed an online order at 2:35, the app told me my order would be ready at 2:56. I arrive early at 2:47 and there was no sense of hospitality. One lady was tending to a lady who had her whole face in the pick up section where they bag the food. Another lady was prepping bowls and the gentleman was slicing the fruit. I go to the pick up section to wait for my turn and still nobody acknowledges me, ok that’s fine. I placed an online order so I’ll just wait until my time approaches because there were probably 2 people in the store besides me. I stand there for 8 mins watching my bowls sit there and that is when the First Lady asks me if I need help and I tell her I’m waiting for my online order. The lady who had her face planted in the pick up section placed her order. And received it immediately. The time is now 2:55 and you would think that my order should be wrapping up. She looks shocked and looks back to see my bowls sitting there and tell me, “oh I’m sorry. Give us 2 minutes”. Ok fine. I ended up leaving at 3:05. No problem. I inspect my bowls and I’m charged extra for 3 pieces of Kiwi in each bowl. I don’t care I just want to go home at this point because I’m over it. Something told me to check the base of the bowl and the whole thing is watery. Meaning it was probably sitting there before I got there. I’m so disappointed and annoyed at this point.

More and more healthy options are becoming available and that’s a good thing. This was my 1st time experiencing Playa Bowl so I didn’t know what to expect. The options were plenty and the service was on par. I’m vegan and I’m always on the lookout for healthy options. This place is a keeper so be sure to visit if you are ever in Elizabeth, NJ.

Great location! Clean and staff was right there to help with order. Didn’t take long to recieve to order. Parking is large and in the front of the location. Glad to find a place for lunch in my area.

They move extremely slow. I wanted to just get a quick pick up and ended up waiting over 10 minutes for a smoothie and juice. Then the juice had a lot of fruit bits in it and wasn’t strained. The smoothie was also bad and had no flavor. Tasted like I was drinking water. I get smoothies all the time and this was the worst.

Yes, they finally opened. This Playa bowl is located in the new plaza on North Broad St. across from Taco Bell. So far, so good. The decor is spunky and beached theme. The ladies that were working were friendly and speedy. The menu consists of a variety of bowls, smoothies, shakes and juices focusing on fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, oats etc. All reasonably priced. The price adds up when you include the add ons for $2 each.

I’ve been here about 3x and each time, I get a well made balanced bowl. Today I had the Acai base, so good, intense flavor and not icy. The the strawberries and bananas were sweet. Evanity was courteous and made my morning with a delicious bowl. Thank you!
