The menu here is fairly standard for a Mexican restaurant yet not as extensive as others, to facilitate a quick in and out. It has a fast food atmosphere, almost like it was a redesigned Hardee’s, and very clean. I had the grilled shrimp soft tacos, which were loaded with plump, nicely grilled shrimp with chopped onions, tomatoes, and green peppers with a hot sauce. I loved the taste, but the sauce quickly made the soft flour tortilla a soggy mess. My daughter and granddaughter split steak fajitas, which came grilled to perfection with a side of beans and rice. My grandson’s chicken quesadilla was stuffed with grilled chicken chunks and he could barely eat it all. The bill for two adults and two children was $53 before tip.

It’s Mexican food. Nothing special to any other Mexican food place, by that I mean no real special entrees or anything. The Hawaiian chicken sounds good but other than that it’s generic. However, the customer service was great! Super nice people. Served us chips and salsa and our margaritas while we waited for s to-go order.

We always went to Abuelos for our anniversary, but tonight we went to Plaza del sol & it was the best Mexican food we ever had! Great service & atmosphere! The shrimp quesadilla was full of shrimp! The chicken chimichanga was the biggest I have ever seen! Brought 1/2 mine home. Prices are very affordable!!

One of those restaurants you don’t pay much attention to but the food is top notch, service is amazing, and food portion to price is hard to beat. I go about any time I’m in East Brainerd. Try the Chipotle Chicken!! It’s amazing!!!

First time being there! We were looking for a quick lunch spot in between shifts at work! They were a bit busy but Molly took excellent care of us, all things considered! The food took far longer to come out than we anticipated, which is why I am unlikely to go there for lunch again. I could see it being a wonderful dinner spot though!

I have never been so disrespected in my life! I made the mistake of asking another waitress for chips and salsa because our waiter ( with a Ponytail) never came back around when he seen it, I guess it made him mad…then he jerked my dr pepper out of my hand then slammed it back on the table…then when he brought the food I was dealing with my granddaughter crying and he put the plate down and said wow you’re welcome …that was the last straw! So ridiculous! Lost my business FOREVER!
