Clean friendly folks! Went on a Saturday afternoon very crowded but wait was like 5 minutes. Once seated we placed our order and as we waited so much decor the older people will remember and the younger people will be wowed!

I have not had PO Folks in almost 30yrs after they went out of business across the nation for the most part. I remembered loving them though when they were in my city. When I visited Pensacola, I was so excited to find just a handful of these restaurants still exist, and I made it my last stop before heading to the airport. The dining setup pretty much is the same as I remember. Could not wait to get my mouth on a plate of the Fried Chicken, which I remembered was always my favorite. There was no disappointment today as the chicken was fresh and fantastic. Had a side of mashed potatoes/gravy and Mac & Cheese. Could not have been happier with being able to return to a solid restaurant from my earlier years in life. Wish they would re-establish the brand and make a comeback so I and other people could enjoy them again.

I’ve been coming here for years and it is amazing everytime. The food is always so delicious and filling. Can’t beat the great prices which has barely changed since opening. You can always see Russ smiling and checking in on everyone. Definitely a pensacola staple that is a must try.

7 of us showed up for lunch and got on the list at 12:15. It was not that crowded but you only had 3 servers so it was backed up. I saw at least 15 people come and look at the people waiting and leave. The hostess never greeted anyone or made eye contact and was so soft spoken you could not hear her. There were at least 4 parties of 2 or 4 who came in WAY after us who were seated and eating before we were sat. I kept asking why we could not be seated in one of the 3 empty large tables and she said 7 was harder for the waiter to do. Yet 8 people at other/smaller tables were serviced. Made no sense. We were finally seated after 1:00 waiting more than 45 min and we’re just about to leave for Sonny’s. Our meals took 45 min to come out and mine was missing as the Cook overlooked the order. I just got it to go as my 6 friends were just about finished. Then it took 15 min to get out tickets! 2 hours at Po Folks is very disappointing and I can honestly say we will not be back. Most likely the 10-15 people that walked out won’t be back either. You really need improvement on the front end and address seating issues. Another issue that came up was in the bathroom. The hostess was in their cleaning the stalls and hopefully washed her hands before handling menus, etc. Cleaning people should be separate staff! Very bad experience all around!

Unexpectedly found ourselves here for lunch one day on our vacation. Looked like just a run of the mill family restaurant.

Decent food, good portions. Menu names are funny and decor is dollar store cracker barrel, however overall good. Like the flannel the waitress has to wear as well. Give it a whirl!!!

They were short handed tonight but was still waited on promptly. The food came out quickly & was delicious. The lady who waited on us wasn’t normally a waitress but did a good job. It was a wonderful experience.

Enjoyed our dinner. I loved that it was low keyed and quiet. I could easily socialize with my friends while eating. Love the music they played-classic rock. Very reasonable prices.
