Great place! We are in town for a trip and decided to check this place out for a quick dinner. Bit pricey ($18 for a shrimp sandwich), but really good! My husband got the coconut and they were super tasty! I got the fish shop seasoning since you can’t get that anywhere else. I really liked it! Slightly sweet and so good, the shrimp were juicy and cooked to perfection. The seating is some tables inside and some sort of half outside, I really liked the open-air feel. All of the staff were also very kind and friendly! If we lived in town, we would definitely make this a go-to spot!

The sea bass fish taco was bangin. The fish n chips were like fish tenders but veryyy good! Kids got grilled cheese and popcorn shrimp. The grilled cheese was no good but who comes to a fish shop and gets grilled cheese. My kid. The popcorn shrimp was great. Solid serving of fries with all. Got the vodka mule which was spot on. The kids menu is separate from their wall menu.

Food was amazing. Fish was fresh and the fries were great. Stopped by for a quick lunch and got a Blackened Seared Ahi Tuna Sandwich on Sourdough. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not even lying it was phenomenal.

Pretty good food. Little pricey, but delicious! Had the jumbo shrimp plate and a bowl of clam chowder. Shrimp was the best part. Clam chowder wasn’t bad but not the best I have had.

Phenomenal fresh delicious fish!!! Excellent draft beers and hard kombucha. The waitstaff are absolutely incredible and very helpful on making decisions when ordering, especially for first timers. My friend had the fish and chips, I had the oysters, elote taco and pineapple express taco, and the BEST homemade onion rings outta this world!!! Oysters were super fresh and cleaned well!! Will definitely be coming back for more scrumptious fish!!!

I’ve been coming here for years, my go-to is the Fish Shop Shrimp & the Pineapple Express Taco – not the BEST service to be honest, but they’re pleasant enough. I went in during SDSU 2nd to last championship game and they didn’t even bother to bus the bar so we could sit and watch the game (and there was hardly ANYONE in there)- all the dirty stuff just sitting there and not really appetizing to sit at a filthy bar. You kind of get that vibe sometimes like you’re in THEIR territory and you’re an afterthought not the main attraction lol. When COVID hit and they closed down for pick up only ironically their service AND food quality went up DRAMATICALLY, now it’s right back where it was lol. Good place for a cold beer and a taco, but DEF not the best in town. Like most of PL food, it’s just “good enough.” If I was the manager I would DEF look for more enthusiastic and friendly staff. Some are OK some are bad.

Tasty fresh fish dishes cooked your way all so delicious. Poke is incredible but too small portion. Slipper lobster tacos with garlic butter melts in your mouth and fish shop shrimp is always a big MUST. It has their signature seasoning that you can buy and take home as well (hint hint). Spicy tacos, fish and chips, full fish plates, crabcakes, even lumpia are all amazing! I can honestly say after eating her 3+ years I haven’t found anything on this menu I didn’t like.
