Overall excellent experience. Great customer service. Very friendly staff. Overall high food quality. Ordered brisket plate with ribs. All great flavors. Really good brisket and ribs. Will order again. Server gave samples of turkey and pulled pork. Good turkey. Pulled pork not great. Macaroni and cheese, fries as sides. Very good Mac and cheese, probably the best I have had in a long time. Fresh and hot fries, really good. Peach cobbler for dessert. Not bad, not great, does the job. Will try the other dessert next time. Super clean place. Very spacious. Clean bathroom (male). 4 stars on the food only for the pulled pork. Perfect otherwise. Will visit again.

Their Pork Ribs are excellent, superior to Rudy’s! Great BBQ sauce. I just wouldn’t get the brisket here (but to be fair Rudy’s has just about everyone beat when it comes to moist brisket)

Stopped by during the slow post-lunch time and was greeted pleasantly by the staff. Luis helped me get together a delicious selection of meats while displaying confidence, knowledge and charisma with light chitchat. Melody walked me through various side selections with a wonderfully positive demeanor. In the end I sat down (the entire place was spotless) with my food and finished everything despite thinking I would be taking home leftovers – it was that good! Best fries I’ve ever had too!

Not great, but not terrible. My wife & I ate thier for the first time. We usually eat at our favorite Hill Country BBQ in Bertram. The brisket seemed a little dry. The beans were good & the Mac & chz was ok. My wife loved the potato salad & okra. Will I be back? Maybe, but not sure.

After seeing so many negative reviews, I wanted to comment about our experience last night. We went in for a very large family to-do order: brisket, sausage, chicken, Mac and cheese, potato salad, etc. My entire family of 5 was VERY happy. The sausage was excellent, the brisket moist and tender, all the sides were very good. The manager even threw in an order of burnt ends as I was deciding if we should add them. I know every restaurant has good and bad days, but w were not disappointed at all and will definitely return!

Walked into this place with a heavy heart. I was greeted nicely at the door and the service was so generous and genuine. The food was great and all in all, I had a very positive experience. It’s those little things that people do, that make Texas even bigger than it already is.

First visit. Been in central Texas for 25 years and never tried the Pok. Wanted a sandwich and asked the very professional young lady for a suggestion…. Boy Oh Boy!!!!! Half turkey and half sausage sando with spicy BBQ sauce really hit the spot. Will be back and hope to find more off menu suggestions as this was probably the best non-brisket sandwich I have ever put in my mouth!!!

Returning from the Fundamental 5 Conference, our team decided to stop here since we were not able to try the BBQ on the way to the conference. The restaurant is located inside of a strip mall next to a gym, talk about making you feel guilty, with plenty of parking. As you enter, you must place your order at the desk. The inside is big and very clean with large tables for a big group. The BBQ side bar has all the items you’d like pickles, onion, jalapeños, etc. I ordered the 3 meat plate ( ribs/brisket/sausage ) with okra & green beans. The brisket had a regular taste nothing great. The ribs were tender with a good smoke flavor and sausage was good. The green beans were truly a delicious side and okra crispy. The customer service was above average making the visit 4 stars and worth the stop at Georgetown. If you don’t mind feeling guilty next to the gym, Pok-e-Jo’s worth the visit.

I spent $40 dollars on a brisket plate and sandwich along with peach cobbler. The food wasn’t satisfactory. The bread was cold and seemed like it had been sitting out for awhile. The Mac and cheese cold and the potato salad just missed in the flavor department. The cobbler was a total miss. I don’t know what happened, but I didn’t even eat it all. You have to do better.

Solid BBQ, great okra and other sides. Maybe a bit too heavy on the pepper on both brisket and turkey. As a 20+ year resident of Georgetown who’s moved away and ordered BBQ on every visit back home to see family, I’d argue it’s the best option in town.
