Food: I ordered the Spicy tan tan without corn. The menma taste like it was rotten. Took it out. Too much pickled ginger. The broth was good and flavorful, along with the pork, however the noodles were very overcooked. 3/10 for the rating. Strawberry lemonade tasted like pure strawberry with no lemon, and it had too many chunks of Strawberries in the bottom. Along with a floating black mysterious thing… 1/10.

The picture is not the best for sure but this was taken after I tried my best to TRY to eat this bowl. My friend and I went to the place and got take out. The gentleman on the register was extremely nice, and I feel bad giving a bad review but the food needs a lot of improvement.

The poke bowl I had was the best I’ve ever had, but my husband and daughter had ramen, and it smelled like urine. They didn’t like their choice at all. We all shared their Tokyo fries. Which is curly fires with a spicey mayo drizzled on top. There’s not much sauce, though. So we ordered another sauce and were charged for it and water cups. I would give cleanliness a 1. Too bad, because that polo bowl was awesome!

This restaurant is new to me, but I’ve tried various ramen shops in Jax and this one definitely ranks up there with the best. The Spicy TanTan I had, tested great and had a good level of spice. A friend dining with me, enjoyed their California Cheese sushi burrito immensely too. Would recommend for lunch if you’re in the area, conveniently across the street from the hospital.

Normally, I love this place. Today, I am seriously considering never coming back. So we get there at a little past 4:30 p.m. and there’s a sign on the door saying they are closing early at 5 p.m. that a girl is putting up as we walk in. She says, it’s ok you’ve got about 20 minutes. We order. Neither that girl at the door nor the one we order from says: “Hey this will have to be to go.” We had our food within 5 minutes. But it was in a bag and basically, the girl who handed it to us was indicating that we had to have it to go. I looked at the clock and we definitely had more time. It wasn’t even 4:45. If we had known that there would be no way for us to eat there we would not have ordered. I ended up getting a big stain on my shirt from trying to eat in the car–we came there to briefly sit down and continue with errands. Instead…well we had to go home to eat, try and get the stain out of the shirt, re-settle our dog and then go out again. If they had just been upfront and said the words “You can order but it has to be a to go order” we would have just left. And would be back again at another time. But now, no thank you. I am not going to come back.

My work provides us different lunch options on Wednesdays, and I chose to order from Poke Burri this week. I have a sensitivity to gluten, and they were super thoughtful about taking that into consideration with my order. They left a note letting me know the sauces I selected weren’t gluten free, and they had included a couple of gluten free sauces in my order for me to try. I really appreciate the extra effort! Whoever takes care of the Relish Carter orders deserves a little something extra!

I had this place about a year ago and it was perfectly fine. Not the best thing in Jacksonville but better than overated DOMU. Just order takeout tonight and wow was it the worst not just ramen but food that I have partaken in up to this point in my life. First of all, the bamboo shoots tasted like toilet bowl cleaner smells. Both the noodles and the spicy beef. I wasted money adding to my order or flavorless. The shiitake mushrooms were basically rubber. There was so much pickled ginger that overpowered pretty much everything except for the toilet bowl bamboo. The broth was advertised as creamy tonkatsu but it was so thin and oily. And on top of all that neither my wife or I got corn like was advertised and she barely got any meat so I shared what I had or at least what we could both stomach until it all went to the trash can. We ended up making a McDonald’s run to erase the taste of ever having to eat this swill. It is definitely cheap ramen both monetarily and quality wise and I assure you you will taste every penny pinching bite of of that fact.

Soy mate tofu poke bowl…. AWESOME!!!! Best ever! Well cooked Tofu is hard to get in a restaurant. Its usually treated as an afterthought. But this was crispy and cooked perfectly! The veggies were fresh and yummy as was the seaweed salad and dressing. So good!
