I have been here for a couple of times. Food is delicious, service is great and decoration is beautiful. It is located in the nice downtown area of San Mateo very close to San Mateo train station. If you are coming by car you can park in street or even in the public park at Downtown Caltrain Station. They have two sizes of bowls and you can choose among chef suggestions or make your own poke. Also, they offer some hot plates and soups.

Mixed review. The price for the small bowl is really good at $7. The staff hasn’t put together any semblance of taste and flavor other than just giving you the options which they do have reasonable selection. The place is clean. The service was super fast. I would have liked my bowl better if it had a contrasting seasoning like toasted seasoned rice or a sauce you could add.

Ordered spicy salmon poke bowl. Their salmon is pretty spicy. Good size if you want just a light lunch. I wish they have little bit more beens or vege there. But with the price, good value.

An unexpected treat. I admit I am not a fan of the poke places that add 42 ingredients. This place is great. They have delicious poke options, nothing overly fancy. They only have a handful of toppings. It’s all clean delicious and simple. And a small is only $7. They also have an extensive menu of dishes that do not have fish, which is important when half of the family doesn’t eat raw fish. Everything we tasted was delicious. The chicken teriyaki don, the moo moo with fried egg, were so good. Finished every bite. Great relaxed dinner for a family of 5 in under $60. Very clean and sleek setting. Nice music. Good service. Loved the soy and wasabi combo. Great location. Definitely coming back.

First time going to this poke place, and much to our surprise, most of the menu isn’t actually poke. They have sushi, curry, unagidon etc. Was a bit worried due to the variety that they would be ok at everything vs good at one thing. Much to our delight Poke was really good with a healthy amount of fish and the seasoning was on point. You won’t get to choose tons of toppings etc, but sometimes simplicity is best. I’d go back.

Low profile spot that never fails to impress (at a good price point and with nice ambiance to boot so one can truly enjoy food and beer/sake at a leisurely pace). Hubby loves the shoyu tuna and hamachi in the poke bowl. Great grilled meat dishes and butter mochi is a memorable dessert. Very friendly service too. Check it out!

The lomi salmon is amazing. Definitely try the wasabi oil with the poke. Also the beer is imported from Japan. I’ve been looking for the kagua rouge and only had it in New York till now. I’m coming back multiple times this year
