The volcano bowl was great! This has been the best poke place I’ve been to in a real long time. Not to mention the price was reasonable and turn around was quick. I ordered pick up and was still greeted with a very welcoming smile!

I’ve been really disappointed by a lot of the build-your-own fast food places in Short Pump lately, but not Poke! This place surprised me in the best way. The staff there was very knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to quickly answer any questions I had about ingredients for my food allergy concerns. The toppings were simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The portions are huge and the price was reasonable too. I loved it! I didn’t get a drink, but I definitely will next time! I highly recommend it if you want a quick, healthy, fresh meal in Short Pump!

The rice was really way too hot and under seasoned. The portions were small and some of the toppings poorly chopped (especially the jalapeños – big chunks and seeds left in). The pineapple was from a can and bland. Also I didn’t order pineapple. The fish wasn’t super fresh, or maybe just sitting with the hot rice for a few minutes made it not taste fresh. Had a slight fishy taste, the kind you don’t want. The Boba tea was awful. The bobas seemed like lumpy gelatin, not smooth or sweet and with a totally wrong texture. Not sure if they were just way, way too old or if they weren’t even tapioca. The tea (I got jasmine) tasted more like watery milk – the concentration wasn’t nearly strong enough and the jasmine didn’t come through at all. I suspect that it was also hot or at least not cold and cooled with too much ice. I wasn’t able to finish anything. Also the pricing was too high even if the food had been decent. I hope to find some good poke soon, because I’m in town for a couple more weeks. Sorely disappointed in this spot. Also felt weird having my food just sitting by the door on a random table all tied up. It made me feel like I wasn’t welcome to come into the store and brought me back to DoorDashing in the early pandemic. Not very welcoming.

a unique way of eating fresh sushi. sushi in a bowl. a must try. big serving at the right price. you can choose from cooked or not cooked proteins. sauces and condiments are free except the guacamole. clean area and restroom. a comfortable seat would be better because your foods are delicious. and please don’t forget to smile. Following in the footsteps of Chipotle, you order your meal at the counter and then follow it to its destination at the end of the line while deciding how to make your own dish. The options are largely centered around sushi and Japanese cuisine, but they do offer chicken as an option for all of their bowls if you happen to be averse to raw fish. Expect to be in and out in a few minutes while spending about $10-$12, or, if you’re not in a hurry, there are a few tables outdoors to enjoy your lunch at if the weather is pleasant enough.
