So good & so fresh! And the friendliest counter service in town! At $16 a bowl honestly not bad for a healthy & filling takeout lunch these days. It’s a big bowl and I usually have some left over for later. So glad to have a place like this nearby. Pictured is the miso salmon bowl with a couple add ons.

Not much I can say except I 100/10 recommend this place! The guy at the counter was super friendly, and my order was done before it was even scheduled to be ready which is great because I’m always early. I got a build your own bowl with three proteins, everything was fresh and delicious, not to mention the bowl was packed to the brim. If I lived closer, I’d have a major poke addiction!

My girlfriend said that I should try this place again because I enjoyed poke on vacation. But it looks like a half thought out idea in there. I told the guy I couldn’t have soy and it revealed his complete lack of knowledge of the ingredients. Other than that, I felt rushed by the employees to leave though there was only one kid there.

Editing this review as we just had amazing poke bowls here. The first couple of times we went, the bowls were mostly rice with smaller mix-in portions than other Pokemoto locations. That seems to have totally changed as of May 2023 – Great healthy food!

We are so glad that Colchester has added a restaurant like Pokemoto! The portions are very generous. My photo is of a regular which came with two portions of protein (I got double salmon) and the large has three (my husband got shrimp, salmon, and tuna). Tobiko (the black fish roe) was extra, but worth it if you want more of a sushi flavor/texture. I think the hardest decision is what sauce to get because they are all good! The restaurant was very clean and the owner was actively working with his employees. We will definitely be going back!

We wanted to grab lunch while my husband and I were running errands and we’re bored of the usual stuff in town, so we did a search and found Pokemoto! My husband got a salmon bowl with ponzu, which he absolutely devoured. I got a sushi rice bowl with a ton of veggies, and we shared a matcha bubble tea. Everything was so delicious, really fresh and lovely flavors! They were out of a couple things, but super accommodating with substitutions [and honestly with the difficulties with the supply chain lately, the selections available were spectacular]. Can’t wait to go back! This is our new favorite spot for quick + healthy food, thanks for mixing up the scene!
