I recently visited Poke Bowl for the first time and while the staff was friendly and the service was quick, I found that the price was much higher than other poke places nearby. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that some of the toppings were pretty bland. The rice also left something to be desired as it tasted more like white minute rice rather than proper sushi rice. They certainly can make a pretty bowl with a ton of toppings but it was all a bit underwhelming for the price and flavor.

Tried this place out today. First impression, place was super clean. I was greeted by a sweet young lady at the counter. When it comes to poke, they can take my money! I ordered the large with 4 fixings of protein, sushi rice, medium sauce for a little heat, and all the fixings with the eal sauce, and exxxxtra miso sauce (like a spicy mayo) I am a sauce girl. It was super delish! Would definitely come again. Going to take my daughter next time because they have a kids meal option too!

So excited for a poke place closer to the area. The bowls tasted great. The portions compared to the poke in Frisco are scant. We ordered a large and typically have left overs at other locations. Compared to any other poke place we have been to it is the most expensive place we have been to. Each bowl was $18 and major portion control taking place. We definitely were able to have dessert somewhere after. Also, the spam musubi was dryer and harder than a rock from the heat lamp. Do not recommended that right now.

New location off 380/423 in Prosper. Large bowl has 4 mini scoops of protein choice. A bit expensive for this bowl at $18.25 (online ordering shows $18.75). Drink, tax and tip you’ll be over $25 per person. Rice was OK but needed a bit more rice vinegar for balance. Spicy tuna was over mixed for my liking. It was a plus for avocado and crab mix option without the added upcharges most places have. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was casual and clean. Few tables outside as well to enjoy.Again, decent bowl for the area as there are not many others close but a miss on the price point.

WILD that this place doesn’t have 5 stars- absolutely the best poke I’ve ever had and I live in Dallas. Taste is so much better than any other place I’ve tried, fresh, delicious. The price is cheaper than other places I’ve tried while having more food. I OFTEN consider making the drive up from my home in Dallas just to get a Poki bowl from here, and I may have actually done it once or twice. Super worth it. I will say the downside is it’s completely ruined all other poke for me I feel like I’ve tasted the best so I can’t enjoy anywhere else. Again, super unsure how this place doesn’t have 5 stars- I really never write reviews but randomly saw the star count and had to let everyone know the truth.

Very friendly staff. Nice that all toppings are included. Flavor was OK. Only downside was two small bowls plus one medium and three sodas plus tip was $71.95. That’s almost $24 per person. Seemed pricey to me. But the location was good.

Poki Bowl has been on me and my wife’s radar since they opened. Today we decided to check them out. I didn’t know what to expect, so expectations were tempered. First impression was the store was clean and the seafood looked fresh. I ordered a 4 protein bowl that I thought was pricey until they scooped each protein into my bowl. The portions were very fair. I chose octopus, tuna, salmon, and yellowtail, over rice. I topped with seaweed salad, crab meat, green onions, and spicy sauce. On the side I had wasabi, poki spicy sauce, and miso dressing. My bowl was really good and exceeded expectations! My wife really enjoyed her bowl too. We are excited to add a great option to our restaurant rotation in this area. I wish we wouldn’t have waited as long before giving Poki Bowl a try.

Our food was delicious! The ingredients were fresh. Every other place I’ve had poke in the central US has cost about the same as here (it’s very standard pricing?). I don’t expect nor do I want leftovers of poke (old fish makes me nauseous). It was a perfect medium (quite large) portion after a fun pickleball workout. We’ll be back for more.

I was really excited to see this store opening near me, so I’m sad that I didn’t love the food. Some others already mentioned the high price; I understand that prices for everything are high right now, but in that case I think they should offer a smaller bowl at a lower price. I ordered the regular (lowest price option) with nothing else and it was still over $21 in the end with tax. Other places I’ve seen charge about $15 per bowl max. I was also disappointed in the rice texture and lack of sauce flavor. The rice was kind of chunky instead of fluffy. It needs to be mixed with some rice vinegar and cooled a bit for the flavor to come out, but it was hot so the fish got cooked. I got mild sauce and it only tastes like soy sauce and a little spice. It needs some sweetness to balance it out! I got it to-go so I added a small mixture of mirin, sugar, mentsuyu, and soy sauce myself, and it tastes SO much better. Also I’ve never seen a place that upcharges on edamame, but at least the avocado isn’t an up charge. I really want you guys to do well and stay in this area so I hope these suggestions help!

Overpriced, lacked flavor, and stingy AF with portions. The dude shorted me on just about everything but the rice. I understand the protein but even on the toppings I paid extra for he shorted me on. The rice is not sushi rice. It tastes like plain steamed rice btw. The flavor was not good and the salmon wasn’t fresh. For the price they charge they shouldn’t be shorting anyone and everything better taste good and fresh. The thing he used to scoop it with was maybe less than a tablespoon. Even then he would release some of it for fear it was too much. I payed almost $20 for just a bowl of white rice. I couldn’t eat the salmon because it tasted so bad. Will not be back and will happily take my money else where for less and better quality poke.
