Pollo Tipico might not be a fancy dining destination, but it’s a reliable choice for good food, friendly service, and quick service. Whether you’re a local or a tourist looking to try some local cuisine, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Sometimes I like to eat at mom & pops and this place was ok. I appreciated the kind greeting and the chicken wasn’t piping fresh & hot nor did it have that killer Peruvian flavor. In their defense it was a Thursday and closer to the suburbs. I had a 1/2 chicken with rice and beans. Nothing like simple childhood dishes. Not bad. I will say they’re very cheap and that’s a good thing these days…

The food was alright. I had no problems with the staff, and the food was ready within the time they gave us. I’ll probably come back for the enchiladas. Each beef taco cost $3.50.

Food is good but it comes with risks. The first time I went delicious but sometimes my carnitas have lots of fatty bits and chicken have bones. Imagine cautiously eating a burrito because you smashed down on a bone and cartilage and yes that is wire brush bristle.

I ordered the fajita, waited about 30-40 min to be served. Meanwhile I observed none of the cooks were using gloves. One of them was chewing gum and kept taking it out of her mouth then putting it back in while touching the food and cutting tomatoes. Probably won’t return for reasons the food wasn’t that bad just a bit salty.

I have only had chicken and beef tongue burritos from here so I can’t really say much. The staff is VERY friendly and polite. I personally haven’t had any issues with my food and it has always been really good. I order my food over the phone so by the time I come pick it up, it’s ready. The longest I had to wait once I got there was 8 minutes. I live about 10 mins away and it’s always ready in a timely manner. I will always come back and tell everyone I know about their burritos.

I like coming here. Food is really solid and generally if you call in ahead of time the wait is going to be minimized. I really like the torta sandwich (can be a bit inconsistent, but I’ve yet to have a bad one!) and the bean and cheese papusa. The green sauce varies in heat (honestly to me means that’s it’s fresh). Never had an issue with any food – but do know that ordering in restaurant may equal a wait. I don’t get to come here as much as I used to, but I always look forward to a visit.

Be ready to eat lots of delicious food! The portion is very generous, I think the beans are a little too salty but works perfectly together with rice or tortilla. I strongly recommend the Bistek with onions!!!
