The food was excellent. We’ll be going back for sure. they serve drinks soda in a can, botttled water (cheap kind) & imported Mexican sodas. Those are quite overpriced for the “experience”. So brace yourself. We were waited on by a child. Looked like a family owned business. Our experience was good & we’ll be back. There’s also a funny back drop to take photos.

Don’t get me wrong food was really good, we had combo of whole chicken and combo of ribs. Just be careful with what the waitress brings to your table because you will get charged extra. At time of paying, I reviewed the receipt and was being charged $8.00 for beans. I told waitress that I didn’t ask for extra beans and she said I brought extra to the table because the kids didn’t get one with what the combo has and I felt bad. And I told her, I didn’t ask you to bring me extra, you brought them and I shouldn’t pay them. I didn’t ask for extra beans Whatever the combo comes with, that’s all we needed, the kids didn’t even eat. I asked for those $8 to be returned and she said NO.

The service was not bad. But it’s not what it used to be. I got only 3 little pieces of chicken and 4 tortillas for $16 not worth the wait nor the price. Too over priced for chicken. I used to be a regular customer but not anymore.

They should call it Godornises Asadas Nuevo Leon. I got the half chicken plates and it was not what I saw in the picture. The chicken was dry, overcooked, burned and extra small I was hoping for better food but it was a big disappointment.

Brought my husband here for the first time. Drove to this place from Weslaco and let me tell you, the food was absolutely delicious and great price! It became my husband’s favorite restaurant in the entire RGV! Hands down! He said even better than The Roadhouse! I know how he felt about The Roadhouse so it definitely says a lot about this place. Always great food here!

Ordered half chicken plate with beans and pico to go. Chicken teased me all the way home. When I finally sat down to eat it was everything I expected. Perfection on the bone. Crispy skin. Smoky flavor. Seasoned well. Beans are good too. The only thing missing is a couple slices of lime. Next time I’ll ask. Lucky I have some here to go with my Dos Equis. I’ll go again. Caught a picture of the guys cooking as I left.

The dining area need’s a major overhaul. the tables are prehistoric, floor looks dirty and nasty. You can even see dust/ dirt on the windows. If you go into the bathroom there’s no air-con in that area, it immediately feels hot & uncomfortable. The young woman behind the cash register has no public relations skills. Don’t ask her for anything you just might be interrupting her text messaging. If hidalgo county health dept. ever go’s to inspect this place they’d be shut down immediately. Food was ok, but not as good as expected.
