I have known the restaurant Polly’s La Mesa for a long time. I used to eat there occasionally as a teen. They always have great service. Same people have been working there for a long time. Polly’s La Mesa is one of my all time favorites. I would definitely go back. I got 2 burritos with rice and beans. My mom got 1/2 chalupa.

The worst mexican restaurant I been to in a long time , I ordered a house special with shrimp ,chicken and ground beef , and it looks like dog food , the shrimp is so small you can’t even notice it in your food literally its that small , the Spanish rice is terrible, no wonder why that place is always empty , it’s terrible

I haven’t been here in years – – like 20 – – and it is still the same as I remembered it. Same dude greeting you at the door, same salsa I remember which is spicier than most, and the Mexican rice brought back all kinds of memories.

Only for white people they was giving me weird looks like I didn’t belong there the food was disgusting it had no flavor. I couldn’t even finish. Bland no seasonings could have went to Taco Bell and had better food for a cheaper. Do not come here if you have working taste buds.

Currently only open a limited number of hours a day…check ahead for times…you can call ahead for reservations…friendly staff and customers… usually end up having conversations with other customers… really good food.
