My mother in law suggested this place and, despite her having good taste in food, I was skeptical: “strip mall” and “excellent Italian food” do not, in my experience, go together. We got the calamari as an appetizer and it was very tender and flavorful, with a perfectly crispy exterior, and the entrees were fabulous. The vodka sauce in particular shouldn’t be missed. We picked up a pizza on our way out (special shout out to our server – I think Jessica was her name – who timed things perfectly, was incredibly friendly and attentive, and made fantastic recommendations) for my brother and sister in law; naturally, I had to try a piece 😉 It was very good as well, with a wonderful crust and flavorful sauce.

First time there and ordered the calamari salad. Calamari was super tough and almost inedible. Gave 3 stars because my wife ordered a chicken Stromboli and enjoyed it. Might go back to try the pizza but not in a hurry.

First off the food is good. However consent mixups and delays with no attempt to fix it. We just ordered food. Our card was charged at 5. They told us an hour. It’s 8 o’clock with no food. After trying to call them for over an hour. They told us our food hasn’t even been made and it “should” be here in another hour… Making around 9 at night. They did offer us a free soda for the inconvience. Funniest part is we don’t even drink soda. Like the food but everytime is a mess dealing with this place. Seems to be a reccuring issue with alot of places. When the oldest employee or person in charge is 16 years old. *UPDATED- to make up for forgetting our desert the one they did send was covered in mold. Yummy

Our new” go to” takeout place. Unlike some of the other local restaurants they actually know how to make sure the order is complete and I have gotten what I paid for.Nothing is worse than driving 20 minutes back home to find that a dish is missing. The food is always good and tasty and they use quality ingredients. It seems not all of our local restaurants care about providing the best product they can but that’s not an issue here.

Pizza at Pomodoro Italian is great. The lunch menu is very extensive and everything we have ordered for take out has been delicious such as Shrimp Franchese, Veal Saltimbocca, Veal Parmigiana and Veal Marsala. All came with our choice of sides like potatos, veggies or pasta, salad and rolls. The wait staff is very courteous and the prices are very reasonable. Best Italian restaurant in Sussex County!!!

Used to go here occasionally and loved it. I got upset when i ordered a pie for pick up, showed up and it wasn’t even started . This was the second time that this happened to me. The first time I waited. This time I didn’t wait because I couldn’t. I won’t spend anymore of my money here. Sorry.

Delivery for my order was quick, but tiramisu had mold growing all over it, and tasted like acidic cheese (silly me didn’t inspect the desert for mold first ♂️). Canoli was cheap and tasted terrible. The impossible to mess up chicken parm sandwich was fine.
