Went today with my family. One of the worst experiences of a restaurant there can be. The food was pretty average, our waitress consistently missed everything I asked, and the restaurant bathrooms are very dirty. My steak I had to grab and pull becuase some parts of it were so tough. Then at the end my family member needed a to go box. The waitress said that will be 53 cents. I’ve never seen a place charge for that. Won’t be back and my family members all said the same thing.

I really can’t complain too much because it was a free meal… But, a steak house with no steak? My dad was a manager of a Ponderosa back in the 80’s, the food was awesome and they served steak. This buffet nerds to change it’s name. The Ponderosa chain needs to take their name back and stop messing up my nostalgia. Also, my waitress offered everyone at my table a beverage but me. Not playing any race cards, but the same lady just happened to skip another Soldier with dark skin sitting at a table with our fairer counterparts… I understand how America’s perception of men with dark skin is. I also understand how the perception of Soldiers is, but damn! All I wanted was a sweet tea no ice…

Our family went to Ponderosa last night for the first and last time. The lady that took the order and money was friendly and the menu simple. The buffet was a disaster! The meals ordered took an hour and wasn’t even good! The experience was just horrible as a whole. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place and if you do…I hope your not hungry or counting on a refill.

The food was fine, the server was attentive. I gave it only 3 stars because the whole time we were there you could hear the employees and I’m assuming a supervisor in the back being very loud with each other. Even heard one person say she quit. If I wanted to watch (listen to) Jerry Springer, I had paid for a TV dinner and stayed at home.

The food has no eye appeal and is dry. I have had bad tasting food from the salad bar and it was warm and possibly spoiled. On more than three occasions the steak I ordered had to be sent back for not being cooked properly.

This would be a darn good place for a restaurant. We had the buffet and the food was cold and dried up. The fried chicken was way overcooked, only two edible bites from a large piece. All of the salad dressings had stuff floating in them. They were well away from the other items on the bar so this could have been from a mischievous child. The sweet tea was good but hardly worth the 25 bucks we spent there.

The food on the buffet reminded me of reheated left overs. It was very dried out and crunchy. The desserts in the refrigerator were warm. When this was brought to the attention of the manager, he put gravy over the dried food items. Basically I paid $10 for a buffet I could have heated up in the microwave out of the fridge. The only difference is I would have thrown out the reheated leftovers if they were that bad.

Sub Par service. Went on a Friday evening about 6:30 or 7 pm and it wasn’t busy enough to really not get good service. I’ve been to busier places and got excellent service on a Friday. Anyhow, I ended up getting drinks for our table myself and then another server from a different section helped finish off our refills because she noticed me getting them. The salad bar was literally out of ranch with no refill on that in sight, I have a 10 year old whose dip of choice is ranch so he was not pleased. The shredded cheese was empty, the eggs for your salad was frozen. I ordered tips with mushrooms and they were good and the rest of the salad bar/ buffet was ok. About what u expect to get for 10 per person. But then we move to the bathroom area. OMG as u enter into the foyer where the restrooms are is sticks like straight up sewage. Upon entering he ladies restroom the sink is broken and spraying water all over the floor where someone kindly put a slippery when wet sign and a few paper towels on the floor. I had to wade through a thin layer of water to wash my hands before my meal. Had we not paid yet I would have left but my kids would have been mortified if I requested my money back to leave. Not to mention my best friend would have killed me. None the less we stayed and the kids had their so so meals and I enjoyed my tips as did my bestie enjoy her shrimp. I will not be returning and I am a local. I have been there one other time in the mid July but we walked in and the AC was broken so we left because if was at least 90 degrees in there. Who ever owns this needs to seriously invest some money in the place or close it.

I stuck with the buffet, as I generally have troubles eating steak. Turns out the 4$ sirloin steak my GF ordered with her buffet was so soft I could even eat it without teeth. 8$ was not bad for the small buffet selections they offer.

First and last time here buffet was disgusting it was a total mess. We got a new waitress before our food even came out. The steaks were awful and nothing but fat. The desert bar was filthy. Paid over 40 bucks for 2 people it was definitely not worth half of that.
