Getting food like this is awesome , especially in MD… we are from NJ and we always find Indian food normal in other places , because of the quality and options we have in NJ … pongall proved us wrong . The owner (namba aalu) was so friendly and was able to accommodate 18 of us and quickly serve food . Ji- all the best . Nyabagam irukkum nu nenaikiren. We came a couple of days back with our team after NYCL match 🙂

Beautiful!!!! The owner was very friendly and attentive. He made sure to explain any questions we asked. The food? Phenomenal. I think it’s the best butter chicken I’ve had in the area, it was served hot and they give you lots of chicken. We also got some samosa chaat and garlic naan. So glad I decided to try this place.

So I did not eat there but ordered through Grubhub. This was delicious! The butter chicken was fantastic. It was not overly spiced velvety smooth greatness. The kodi tandoori was also very good but a little too spicy. My lips were on fire. If I’m in the area I will definitely not hesitate to order that butter chicken again. Could have been a 5 but they were out of the sweet paan.

Hands down the best Butter Chicken I have ever had!! It’s a must try! I could drink it straight out of the bowl that’s how good it is. Extremely creamy and there’s nothing else in the DMV like it.

Ordered idli + vadai combo, kothu parotta and tea. We loved the vadai, sambhar and kothu parotta. Sambhar was authentic with the right amount of spices. We were a bit disappointed with the tomato chutney. Coconut and tomato chutneys were cold which I prefer to be served at room temperature. Kothu parotta was fresh.

2nd to Naan! Great traditional Indian flavors and the perfect rice and naan. We got many of their most popular dishes for a family sharing dinner.

Have been visiting Pongall almost every week these days. Best, authentic & affordable place to satiate the South Indian taste buds. Do check out their buffet, unlimited dosas on wednesday evenings and unlimited Biriyani on Thursday evenings.

Happy to have found this gem of a restaurant. The food was excellent – definitely above other Indian food I’ve tried around the area. The onion pakora was nicely garnished and crispy, and my chicken tikka masala was very rich and delicious. The owner is very kind and genuine, and eager to restore this location’s reputation under new management. He made sure our experience was great, much appreciated. Definitely coming back.

Amazing lunch buffet this review is more for dinner. Stopped by the other night ordered the tikka masala and saag paneer. Everything was well seasoned w a lil spice. 4 pieces of naan came with the dish and 2 sides of rice. For 2 people it was a lot of food. We had to take some home. Had to admit for 2 dishes and a mango lassi it came to around $40 which is high for Indian cuisine in Laurel. Highly recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinnee
