Got a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and there was barely any mushrooms. Couldn’t even taste them.

We ordered a house special pizza to be delivered. The pizza was excellent- thin, crispy crust, great sauce, toppings were really good.

If your looking for an incredible pizza place, connected to a pub, in Biwabik MN…look no further, because Poor Gary’s pizza has it all. With a rich history dating back to iron ore pioneering days, Poor Gary’s pizza was founded by Gary Ore a German immigrant who came here by the way of Italy where he learned to make pizza’s by none other than Giuseppe Pepparowni. You can expect the finest pub grub Biwabik has to offer Pizzas, sandwiches, fried delights, and the freshest haddok this side the Laurentian divide! The only thing better is the warm, caring, hardworking, compassionate, handsome, and knowledgeable staff! What a crew!

Certainly a must have pizza stop of the Iron Range. Lots of secret menu pizzas like the butter garlic sauced pizza or the pesto sauce house pizzas rate #1

Had fond memories of Poor Gary’s 10 – 20 years ago, so decided to drive from Eveleth to Biwabik for a change from our go-to Snickers, and order carryout pizza. Got it home (10 minutes) and while the toppings were fine, the crust was flavorless and not crisp at all. Then we went to the Vermillion Club for dinner, because my mom loved Poor Gary’s and they serve it there, and we got fresh food (dine-in) and 3 different pizzas, and they were the same as the Biwabik location. Floppy, bland crust. So, I don’t know what changed over the years, but it is not what is used to be. Sad, because there’s not a lot of GOOD pizza options around here, and they used to be one of three. Sorry Poor Gary’s, but I think you need to go back to your old/original recipe crust, or cook them longer?

Our absolute favorite pizza place! Every time we visit the Iron Range , the first place we eat at is here. Highly recommend the sweet chili wings also. We try to get these in other states and they have no idea what we are talking about. 5 s

don’t judge a book by its cover. This place had fast service and one of the best pizzas i’ve ever had. We had a group of 16 and ordered 6 different pizzas. We polished them all off and ordered a few appetizers to boot. Staff was very friendly and appreciative of our business. We all would go back and as a matter of fact, some said they were thinking on driving out of their way when heading north or south on Hwy 53…. yeah… it was that good. Bacon cheeseburger, chicken alfredo, supreme, 2 pepperoni, and a 3 cheese…. they were all GREAT.

I went there recently and it couldn’t have been a worse experience. First of all, the food was terrible. Cold and horrible tasting. The bathroom smelled and hadn’t been cleaned in days. The staff was extremely rude. When we walked in, they ignored us for a while, then we spoke up and we finally got a table. Then they acted like we were bothering them every time we asked for something. Don’t go there.

Good Za, I like PG’s a little bit more than Vi’s. I think a better price too.
