First time visitor and man was I pleasantly surprised! Working in West Tampa I left a little later than usual, which meant I-4 was a mess! So I was searching for a place to kill some time and discovered Pop a Beer. I always say “I’d rather sit at a bar than to sit in traffic .”

I’ve driven by this place several times and finally stopped in for dinner. The atmosphere is really laid back and welcoming and the service was excellent! The bar tender was really friendly and the owner came over to say hi and was really friendly as well. The food was great! The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! It was fresh and cooked perfectly. We got onion rings and cheese curds and all of it was delicious. The outside looks like a dive bar, but don’t judge a book by its cover! There’s great food and good people and I 100% recommend stopping for a bite to eat and a cold drink!

I really love this place. I never understood why people have their “regular bars” but now I’ve officially found mine! Atmosphere, food and service are top notch. I’ve never waited too long for service and have never had food or a drink from their menu that I disliked. The owners Kate and Larry are wonderful as are their staff. They really know what they’re doing. Special shout out to my boy Gio. He’s a great manager and bartender and a wonderful person. ❤️ Love this place and recommend them to everyone in Tampa.

Overall we did enjoy our food and got decent basic service. However when I checked my bank account I saw that the new waitress, Greidis, according to the receipt, added an extra $20 charge. I gladly took a photo of receipt as I never got a copy. Don’t go here unless you want to get ripped off. Always check your bank statements.

First visit to this local bar and restaurant. With a clean and friendly atmosphere this place was a pleasant surprise. Greeted a our table by our server Yassamen she was ready to welcome us and take our drink order and go over some of the menu with knowledge and suggested items to try. She was able to send the chef Jay over to explain some of his special dishes. Beer was cold food was great. Thanks Jay. All in all a great stop. Hope to pop a beer bar again soon thanks !

This place has an amazing vibe and great food. The staff treats you like family, and you always leave with a smile and a full stomach. This is my go-to spot for wings.
