For a fast food chain, Popeyes is usually a safe bet for some good fried chicken. If we had gotten what we ordered, maybe we would have given a better rating. My husband and son ordered an 8 piece chicken meal and requested all dark meat. However, that is not what they got, and I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and received a classic chicken sandwich. The fries were cold, and mash potatoes had very little gravy. My husband said the biscuits were very good, though.

Person taking drive thru orders says “what do you want?” to the car in front of us when it drove up. Ordered a 3 piece tender meal and got 5 pieces. Ordered 2 apple pies and wasn’t charged. She told me it was $27 but was charged for 19.69. So the employees are over-pouring in Taffer’s bar. I ordered a diet coke with no ice for both of my meals and got 1 large with ice 2/3 full and when I asked for my “other coke with no ice” I got a small with a glare. And there was a hair in one of our tenders. I’m from New Orleans and go here when I miss home. Was very excited for the ghost pepper wings to come back but honestly almost anywhere in Chambersburg you go for food treats you like Chick-fil-a except this place! If I need a piece of home I’m driving to updated Hagerstown Popeye’s…this place doesn’t care and missed the update to modern food service customer service. Would have paid full price for a good experience and no hairs in my food. ~My Pleasure

Waited for more than 30mins for chicken at a chicken place. Manager was on her phone texting. She made the comment, we are short staffed. Don’t need to explain or apologize. There were 7+ people in that small kitchen. Any more and they would have been tripping over each other.

You should know to walk away when you walk in. The food was awful and barely warm. It was dry and just so dirty in the place. Bathroom smelled like a sewer and was disgusting. Walk away before the awful experience.

This is the cleanest Popeyes. They messed up my order. The management had an attitude about their mistake. But the staff was great. I still gave them a four star. Then I got in the car to eat. The chicken was cold. Fml. I edited the original post and 2 stared. Do better.

Popeyes as a chain gets a bad rep for customer service but I can tell you our Chambersburg location is an exception for sure! I’ve consistently gotten more friendly and efficient service at Popeyes than even Chick-Fil-A! Kudos to the manager and the employees for providing exceptional food and service! It’s always a pleasure to stop in for a spicy sandwich and/or some tenders!

this is such a horrible restaurant. I placed a pick up at 1:00 and said i’d pick it up at 2:10 and when I get there it I waited at the window for about 25 mins after they told me to hold on then they told me i’d have to pay even tho I paid online and tried to give me the wrong order. I then had to park and wait 30 minutes. Just for the sandwiches to be extra soggy. DO NOT EAT HERE
