Not sure where to start. 45 minute wait = cold food. Picture of sandwich was supposed to be a classic bacon and cheese = no bacon or cheese. Picture of drink was supposed to be sweet ice tea = no sweet or ice. 2 out of the 3 people that were there were training. The 3rd person was an 18yr old shift or low level manager that couldn’t have worked there long. So it was understandable that they struggled. My question for Popeyes is where was the store manager or the district manager? Why allow your super inexperienced crew to create a bad reputation for a newly opened restaurant without stepping up? This is the 3rd time I have visited this store and all 3 experiences have been bad. And there were new/different employees on each visit. I have to believe this store cannot keep employees because they are not trained properly nor do they have the support of a team. It is a managers job to fill in for crew along with ensuring staff is trained correctly. If the managers of the Popeyes in Waynesville, NC do not start helping this store out it, will not last long.

One of the worst fast food restaurants I’ve ever experienced. First it was way to expensive for fast food then they got our order wrong and didn’t even get half of our food and whenever I took it back to the cashier he argued with me and pretty much called me a lier we ordered rice and beans to go and never got it and the fries were cold and hard the biscuits were also. We want be eating there ever again

I was a little worried about coming to this location because of the low ratings, but our experience honestly wasn’t that bad. We placed an order online through the app (they are very good about issuing refunds through the app, so I say this is the safest way to order in case things to wrong!) a few minutes before arriving. We didn’t have to sit in the drive-through for too long. The staff was quiet, which I guess could come off as rude. But it’s okay. The food was good!

This has to be one of the worst- managed fast food places in the Western NC area, second only to the franchise in Canton when it first opened. It seems they can’t get people to work, or that has been the story each of the three times I have tried this establishment. I feel sorry for the manager. The chicken has not tasted freshly cooked and has been overcooked or warmed over for too long. I’m being critical purposefully, in hopes they will up their game. The Popeye’s on Airport Rd. in Arden seems to be the best in the area. I might mention that the person working the window was bold enough to ask for a tip and relate her dire financial circumstances. I’m sympathetic, but when I’m paying too much already for substandard food, I’m not in inclined to tip well.

Someone better get it together at this place. One of the worst experiences for a Popeyes. We came for dinner just before 7pm. When we started ordering we were informed they were out of both grilled and fried chicken sandwiches. So we all ordered different items. In the middle of the order, the person taking our order made sure we know that there is a “tip jar”(a Popeyes cup with magic marker on it). Have never ever seen a tip jar at a chain fast food place. Yeah, that cup didn’t get filled. When our order came out the first time, missing a whole meal and one meal had white meat instead of dark. These items were brought back out, and this time the chicken was now spicy instead of mild. Went back up to complain and was told they must have been cooked in the wrong fryer, and would have to wait for more mild to be cooked. Then, while we’re eating our food, all 3 employees proceed to walk out together for a smoke break. To top it all off the A/C was set to sub-zero mode, and the employees claimed there was nothing they could do about it because the manager who wasn’t there (obviously) had the thermostat key. Customers were literally going back to their cars for coats and blankets. This experience was one for the books by far.

I ordered online and arrived at the prescribed time, only to be told it would take another 10 minutes. Got back home with the order to find we were missing a drink. Didn’t bother going back or even calling to let them know. The food was good, the staff was pleasant. From out of town, so won’t be visiting again soon.

Ordered popcorn shrimp and fries. The fries were warm and stale, the shrimp was chewy and not crispy. Both drink I ordered had barely any ice.

Very nice and humorous employees! I love Popeyes and their Chicken is delicious! However, it wasn’t very clean.

Not sure why they offer order ahead at all if they’re not going to pay attention until I get there to pick it up. Waited 20 minutes after my specified pickup time.

Where do we start… Well let’s say 1st I love Popeyes I’m from Albany NY and was traveling. Upon walking in it was like an ice box. My wife joked about them wanting customers to get out faster lol. The girl taking orders let me know she was new and struggling financially and if I would tip her. I payed with a $50 and I’m not sure if I got correct change back even because I didn’t get a receipt either. We had items missing that the worker said we would get and “not to worry about” just tip her well. 3 total things missing which I would have gladly payed for. Chicken was hard as a rock Mac n Cheese was decent and biscuits had no butter. They did offer strawberry jam which made me happy. Ny don’t at least my store. All in all it was a horrible and awkward experience for us.
