Barely any wait to be seated, waitress was friendly and attentive, but did not bug us, food was good and prices reasonable. Good experience and will keep location in mind for future visits.

Amazing all around. First time visiting this establishment and we will definitely be back many more times. Must order the fresh fried potato chips with their French onion dip. They came out hot and crispy. The fried pickle chips were very good as well. There is no words that can describe how amazing the fried chicken is. We ordered the 4 piece meal to share between the 2 of us. It came with 2 sides and a roll. We could only eat 2 pieces and took 2 home. The pieces were so big we could barely finish them. Perfection is the best word used to describe our meal. Our waitress was so amazing wish we could remember her name. Never had to wait for a refill on our drinks she was on top of everything before we even knew we needed anything. If you are wanting some excellent fried chicken then this is the place to go. We can’t wait to go back and try their pizza.

Family run business. They are giving young servers a chance at their first job so I can grade service on a curve. Food was tasty and not overpriced. Interesting hours, they are not always open. They were out of a couple side options.

Great food and service. We had a loafer, chicken fried steak, pizza, and the mountain oyster dinner. The portions were large and they were all delicious.

Finally found breaded cauliflower and it didn’t disappoint! Chicken tenders with gravy were and the pizza is spectacular! Love the spicy sausage crumbles! Those with peanut allergies, be aware that they use peanut oil for pressure-cooked chicken.

I ordered the Rocky Mountain Oysters with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. It came with a salad which I chose raspberry vinegarette dressing for. Everything tasted great and I have no complaints on the service. Come in, find a seat, and a server should be with you shortly.

Food: The appetizer was great except the bottled ranch (creamy vinegar). The other stuff, though. Processed blue cheese, preformed overcooked hamburger patties, soggy oily breading on the fish (the haddock). My daughter liked her catfish.

We have been to Poplar numerous times and thought they had a good selection and good food. June 7th, My wife was eating her chicken fried chicken and talking to me and said her chicken tasted funny and was chewy and looked down and saw that the chicken was raw! [picture attached]. The teenage waitress offered to take the chicken in back and cook it some more. We had her take the entire plate because you can’t trust raw chicken. She said the cook didn’t realize that they got new patties and didn’t push the correct setting. They comped her dinner, no manager ever came to the table!!! My wife was sick for 3 days afterwards, if she was elderly or had a compromised immune system, she could have ended up in the hospital or worse..Needless to say we haven’t been back..
