We are Mom and Pop joint that loves the community and helping out those less fortunate. Veteran Owned, Family Friendly Texas Style BBQ restaurant. We serve some of the best meats out there rubbed down and smoked in our own seasonings. Sauce is on the side cause there is nothing to hide. If you just aren’t into BBQ we have other options.
For entertainment we have pool tables, darts and host Free Poker Network Texas Hold’em (Texas Hold’em is on Monday and Friday starting @ 6:30).

I just had lunch there and it was ok food wise and not crowded which was nice. First entering it seems like you’re in a beat down Elks Lodge type scenario. Service was extremely good and food was 3 out of 5 stars. It was just ok. BBQ tasted fine, bbq sauce is best described as “watery”. Potato salad was decent and broccoli slaw was really good! I wanted the smoked chicken wings but they had sold out for the day at 1pm. Final take, if you’re looking for a quick, uncrowded family meal, give them a try. It’s just lacking atmosphere and furnishings/decor. First impression definitely lacking was yuck. I will go back to try chicken wings and for that delicious broccoli slaw. Great no frills place to stop by and have a beer at the bar too without tourist crowding.

F’n delicious. The pulled pork with Carolina sauce… the sides: beans, potato salad and the seasoned fries. Mouth watering, smack your best friend in the face coz it’s so good. You don’t understand… it’s that good. Don’t sleep on this place. Bring your appetite!

Amazing service from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. We tried the fried pickles, brisket and cheeseburger. The fried pickles had a little bit thicker breading than most but were very tasty. The burger wasn’t anything crazy but had good flavor and was cooked well. The brisket had a smoky flavor and was absolutely delicious (and incredibly tender).

From entering the door, the staff made us feel welcome, comfortable, and they were very accommodating. Had a jovial time talking with the family centered owners and staff who took the time to greet us. The kids enjoyed themselves. Game activities such as pool tables, dart boards, and televised sports events were absolutely perfect. The staff cared enough for our group to seat us away from the length of the pool tables. As great as all of that was, the best was yet to come. The food was mouth-watering delicious. It didn’t come to the table in a New York minute, but it was well worth the wait. The BBQ briskets and ribs were off the chain. Everything we ordered from the menu was done to perfection. We were just passing through FWB for the weekend and heard about Poppy C’s and decided to give it a try. I’m glad we did. Their eloquence in service to the military family is recognizable just from approaching their establishment. Heartfelt salute to the owners and staff.

I came here before an evening ride to try some BBQ. I smoke brisket at home and every new BBQ place I go to, I try the brisket to see how it compares. This is the first place I have been to where it was worth ordering the brisket. The Mac n cheese is the best in town, and the broccoli slaw was great as well.

Nice barbecue restaurant. It is really geared towards people who serve in the military, with Folds of Honor ketchup and free Buds for military. The food is excellent. The ribs are beef ribs. The BBQ beans are very good. The fries are very seasoned and tasty.

Excellent barbecue best in Fort Walton Beach in my opinion the chicken and pork are my favorites if they added chicken breast to the menu that would be awesome meaty beans are the best beans i have ever tasted (buyer beware you will pay the price the next day) .
