Poppy’s has been my go to place since I was in high school. I remember when I used to walk by and pickup my burger and fries for $1.00. It’s crazy how the owner still has the deal for the kids in school. I must talk about their grilled chicken bacon ranch! It’s my go to meal anytime I’m in the Waukegan area. Great taste and quality for your buck! Their chicken Diablo is always a good choice too if you’re looking for a spicy sandwich.

Hot Dog
Food is good for its price. but food is never ready when it’s supposed to be. Placed and order at 3.30pm. they say it’ll be ready at 3.45. I give them an extra 15 min. I get there and food still isn’t ready. finally got my order at 4.20. by the time I got back to work I had no time to eat.

Heard the Italian beef was really good. Got 2, both dipped. 1 with sweet peppers & 1 with giardineria. Asked for cheese but they didn’t put it on. Overall, the beefs were mediocre. Place is pretty affordable overall. Cool summertime spot for ice cream. Shirls is better though
