Food was delicious, portions were nice sized, I had the 10 piece jumbo shrimp dinner. Our waitress(Hailey) was very friendly and attentive. I had a taste of my husband’s baby back ribs and they were cooked perfectly. There was a lot of meat on the bone, it was tender and hardly any fat at all on them. Both meals were done very well. It’s was slow business, 3 girls standing around not welcoming customers, young children that cannot fend for themselves screaming behind the counter. Had to get up and ask for menues after waiting 10+ minutes, had to advise the girls we were ready to order, 20+ minutes before receiving our food, prices almost doubled for less and the lunch baskets cost just as much as the dinner. So expect to spend a minimum of $15.00 per person. They did not let us know that certain sides were an additional cost and we are very disappointed.

Pop’s offers small-town comfort with big-city flavor. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. We had the best waitress, Kadinz. The restaurant was packed with the “after church” rush, but Kadinz was calm and attentive. She made sure all her guests were taken care of. We will definitely eat at Pop’s again.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch today. It was 1230pm in the afternoon. We had just missed the lunch rush. We could tell because there were several tables that needed cleaned off but we found one and sat down. We waited for someone to wait on us but finally after 10 minutes we left. There were 2 customers left in the restaurant and they looked to have already eaten and were talking. 1 girl was checking another girl out at the register and they never stopped talking. Another lady was cleaning tables but no one ever acknowledged we were even in the place.

Best BBQ I’ve had anywhere in Kentucky, Indiana or Illinois. All you can eat ribs with sides for $11!!!! I’ll be stopping by here every time I pass through.

I don’t know what’s going on with the ownership @ Pops BBQ , however, last visit they left out several of my sides and on Mother’s Day they closed at 2:00 ( which is perfectly understandable) but I started calling at 1:06 to place an order and apparently they just took the phone off the hook. I went ahead a drove there knowing my orders
