I’ve been to Pop’s hundreds of times in my life, but I decided to try the new location near my house in Joliet and it was hands down the best visit I’ve ever had at a Pop’s. I just wish I had a few names from the people working that night because they were the friendliest and most pleasant food service employees I have EVER met. This was world class service and set a new standard for service. I will DEFINITELY be frequenting this establishment not only for the awesome food I was served, but hopefully this type of service continues. Fingers crossed that this wasn’t a one time thing because good service is what sets these types of places apart. There are good beefs and burgers all over the place, but this was a pleasant surprise. I’ll try to get a name of the guy working the register that night because someone is going to recruit this young man in no time!

Mediocre food. Big prices. Wouldn’t call the ‘extra meat’ and well done gyro I asked for anything to go back for. Splitting the meat between the two pitas that weren’t done anything with but warmed, they were sad looking sandwiches. Well done request was totally ignored. No char whatsoever. 3 tiny little slivers of tomato. Tzatziki tasted like sour cream and onion chip dip. Sorry won’t be back. There’s wayyyyy better gyro than this unsatisfactory attempt.:::::: had to come back to add that I can’t even eat this. Blechhh

I was a big fan of their food when this Jefferson street site opened. Usually used the drive thru. Food went downhill possibly starting in May. The car in front of us was given their order, they opened it (they opened a sandwich and saw it was wrong order), handed it back and then the guy gave the bag with an opened sandwich to us when we pulled up to the window. Really??? Other issues experienced in this time frame have been buns and cold food. I will take my business elsewhere until i read many positive reviews.

Service in this location worse than going to the DMV! I was the only one in line and they messed up my order 3 times (and they laughed about it). A little more training is definitely need. Out of all the Pops locations I have been to (alot) this on is worse one hands down!

Just went to this Pop’s for the first time since it opened and will never be back. The fries were not fresh and very hard. The breaded steak sandwich was very dry and not much cheese or sauce. Also ordered a bacon cheeseburger and that was so overcooked and dry. The cooks need better training. Never had such horrible food at a Pop’s before. We normally go to Romeoville Pop’s and they are awesome. I will drive a little farther for better service and food.

Italian Combo seemed to be on a cheap small bun. Very dry. No offer of aujue. Meatball soup, tasted like pure salt. Cheddar broccoli soup was a sauce. Seasond fries were seasonless. Everything was at room temperature.
